Indeed. Although they are giving us what appears to be the XY Beginning sets at the same time so who knows? Maybe synced sets are still a possibility?

Legendary Treasures should be a massive set. Likely to include Battle Boost, Shiny Collection, Mewtwo and Genesect decks, Everyone's Exciting Battles set and leftover promos. I also added a few trainers that are due for reprints and Max Potion (only in a legal set as an ultra rare at the moment) to my speculative set list.

Some immediate problems with your setlist, other than the extremely large size.

046 Magikarp and 047 Magikarp are the same card, just two different artworks
166 Cinccino and 167 Cinccino are the same card, two different artworks
192 Shadow Triad doesn't exist. It was fake news that spread around the internet

Out of that list provided, which cards are NXD-on Modified legal? Also, which cards aren't reprints at all?

I seriously doubt they are going to reprint all of the EX cards that Battle Boost did. It just doesn't make sense when all of those previous sets will still be in rotation and reprinting their EX cards with the same artwork and stuff would kind of kill their sales. Also between the new EX cards, the gold Reshiram and Zekrom, and the chase cards from Shiny Collection, they'll have enough bling factor.

Battle Boost without the EX reprints and Japanese-specific chase cards i.e. Imakuni/Pokemon Enterprise is 85 cards. The new cards from the Mewtwo/Genesect Deck are another 16. Everyone's Exciting Battle is 42. Shiny Collection is 25. A 168 card set would be welcome by me, but a more realistic number is probably around 150, and we have to keep in mind that we're due for a bunch more BW Promos and they could stick some cards as exclusive to the Shiny Genesect package that's coming out.

Out of that list provided, which cards are NXD-on Modified legal?
NV Virizion (due to the PB reprint)
BCX Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard
ND Moltres
DEX Torchic
BW Reshiram (due to the ND reprint)
ND Articuno
NV Kyurem (due to the BW44 reprint)
ND Pikachu
ND Zapdos
DEX Plusle and Minun
DRX Emolga
EP Thundurus (due to the BW41 reprint)
BW Zekrom (due to the ND reprint)
BCX Croagunk, Toxicroak
DRX Sigilyph
DRX Trubbish, Garbodor
BCX Meloetta
ND Riolu, Lucario
DRX Stunfisk
NV Terrakion (due to the BCX reprint)
NV Landorus (due to the BW43 reprint)
BCX Purrloin
DEX Zorua 69 (Ascension), Zoroark
All Dragon-type cards
DEX Eevee 83 (Surprise Attack)
ND Minccino, Cinccino
EP Tornadus (due to the BW42 reprint)

As well as all of the EX cards, obviously, if they make the English set. Most of the other cards are new but extremely unplayable. Some are BW-NV reprints like item lock Gothitelle, NV Cobalion, etc.

So that comes to, what, about 44 cards that would be pointless to reprint? I'll knock that down a bit by saying that the Legends will stick in this set, of which there are 12. I'll say the set would be 168-32=136. That feels a bit big, honestly. Even the 124 without including Legends feels a bit big to me...

Keep in mind that all the reprints included could be preparation for a future rotation: most likely, Boundaries Crossed-on. Those 44 cards wouldn't be pointless, persay, just a future preparation.

And they all have new artwork, which makes them appealing to collectors. Since I doubt this set is going to have a lot of player's appeal -- as there's not a lot of Trainers left to translate -- unless they do repeat the EX cards and make them much more common than in previous sets.

There moving back to BW-on next years format. Think we have entered the era of no Rotations (maybe), they're just trying something new, or delaying for more X/Y cards before moving to X/Y on.

There moving back to BW-on next years format.

Technically they aren't. Modified will continue to exist (NXD-on, DRX-on, XY-on, whatever), and the BW-on that's coming for 2014/2015 is an extra format akin to MTG's Extended format. Modified and "Extended" will both exist at the same time.

I hate seeing unconfirmed details being reported as fact.

All that we know for next year is that the BW-NV cards will be involved somehow.

We don't know exactly how they are going to be involved.

The prevailing theory is Extended. And, honestly, I think that's what's going to happen.

But there are other potential theories, some more likely than others.

I could have sworn in was confirmed that BW-on would be a secondary format along side Modified. I swear the original announcement said that. Let's check. . .

. . .

Ok, done. The announcement said:

Starting in late 2014, a new TCG format will be joining the familiar Modified format as a legal option for sanctioned Pokémon events of all sizes.

The bolded part confirms to me that we will have 2 different formats. In other words, Extended.

i think that Juniper's Dad (EX Battle Boost 93) looks like a fun card to have, of course charen is much more stable, for one thing you dont need a pokemon in your hand to draw three cards, for another you dont have to worry about your oponint knowing the height listedon the pokemon you put down but its still a fun card to have in your deck.

Personally I wish they'd skip this set and move the world onto XY instead. The bulk of them are reprints and ones that aren't are hardly groundbreaking or must haves. The sooner the giant basic EX format is (hopefully) over, the better to me.

Best thing in the set will be gold Zekrom

I'll sell my soul for it

I suggest working on your usage of hyperbole; I can't tell if you think the card is worth eternal condemnation (or slavery - trying to think of various views on the matter) or because you actually don't believe in souls at all so you think the card is worth imaginary currency. XD

If they are going to have a lot of EX cards in this set I'd think it's only fair that the pull rates should be better. EX Battle Boost averaged 5 normal EX per box with little variation, while the japanese sets normally have 3-4 ultra rares per box of 24 boosters. Making more ultra rares while keeping the same pull rate is just a cheap way of milking money from the consumer and it makes the set harder to collect. I don't remember there being many full arts or ace specs in EX Battle Boost though. IMO if the number of full arts is the same as normal EX cards then the pull rate should be the same. It should be proportional to the number of those types of cards in the set. I'm OK with the secret rare system since they are beyond the set, but if the Gold Unova Dragons are part of the set as normal ultra rares (not secret rares) with the same low pull rate as in japanese sets then I won't be collecting this set. It would make sense for them to be secret rares given the rarity. I prefer sets like the Black and White base set and the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum sets where ultra rare cards were very few and as a result you got an average of just 2 in a box. Secret rares were few as well, nothing riduculous like the 3+ they've had recently. Those sets are just that bit easier to collect as a result and people aren't always scrambling for the ultra rares. Better more consistent pull rates would be great for the last set in the BW era.

I don't mind reprints but I can see why some people would be against them. If they mix in a few new cards in a torrent of reprints then I can understand how annoying it would be. I think Mew FA from Shiny Collection may be in this set since there's a promo blister with a Mew promo being released with this set, similar to the Genesect promo with Plasma Blast. I'm slightly annoyed that Chandelure EX and Excadrill EX are basic pokemon, they could have had them evolve like the old-school EXs, but I get that they'd be underpowered if they had to evolve. I wonder if this set will break the record for the largest pokemon card set to date, with all the reprints and cards the West still hasn't got and what not.

Aquapolis and Skyridge had 186 and 182 cards, respectively. They'd have to give us literally everything from BW we haven't received in English yet for Legendary Treasures to beat those.

Aren't the sell sheets or first preview cards out by now? I'd like to so much to get some confirmation about the set's size but everything's still quiet.

The sheets are available but they don't have any relevant information. We are waiting for a press company or Pokemon.com to show a few cards of Legendary Treasures.
