Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Limited Damage CaC Challenge! It is now officially over!

It is complete!

Limited Damage CaC Challenge!

Ok! I have evaluated the cards and the 7 winners have been decided. There is a winner in each of the following categories; 3 prizes in Best adaptation, 2 prizes in Best Card, and 2 prizes in Best Support Card. They will each win one of my 6 new, each one totally unique, mini-animations. But just like before, here are some honorable mentions.

Alright, this is hilarious… These cards go perfectly together. First is…

Alright, next is the most broken card here, even though it is limited in damage it has still managed to be broken…

Hacked Eevee Lv.999 70 HP {C}

Alright, next is for the ‘best’ loophole exploitation.

Magic Magikarp HP 30 (W)
P-Power: Once during your turn, you may make the maximum HP of the defending pokémon 10. This is not affected by any other effects on the defending pokémon's HP.
(C) Fail 10
Weakness: (L) +40
Resistance:
Retreat: (C)

Ok, you guys had your fun playing around with my rules… Just leave them alone! :frown:

And now for the least broken, weakest card here.

Carnivine Lv. 36 100 hp (G)
P-body: Swallow
you may not attach energy cards from your hand to Carnivine
[.] Stockpile
search your deck for an energy card and attach it to Carnivine
(G)(G)(G) Spit up 10x
does 10 damage times the number of energy cards attached to Carnivine
Weakness: (R)+20
Resistance:
Retreat: (C) x9

Alright, not only does this card require massive amounts of energy to do much damage, but you can’t even load it up on your bench either!

Alright, the next section is the prize winners! They will each receive a different mini-animation made by me! First up is the Best Adaptations, these cards do the best to find a way around the limited damage without exploiting loopholes.

Shuckle – (F) - 40HP
Basic
Poke-Body: High Defense Stats
Prevent all efffects of an attack including damage from an attack from the Defending Pokemon if that attack does more than 40 damage. (After applying Weakness and Resistance)
(G)(F)Irritating Toxic 10
The Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned, Put 2 damage counters on the Defending Pokemon between turns instead of 1. This effect can't be removed by Evolving, Devolving and Leveling Up the Defending Pokemon.
Weakness: (M)+10
Resistance: (G)-10
Retreat: (C)(C)

Shuckle LV.X – (G)(F)- 60HP
Level Up (This Pokemon is both (G) and(F))
Poke-Body: Gluttony
If Shuckle has the Pokemon Tool card Leftovers attack, you may remove 1 damage counter from Shuckle at the end of your turn.
(G)(G)(F)(F)Acidic Influance 20
If the Defending Pokemon is Poisoned, it's now also Burned. As long as the Defending Pokemon is Posioned and Burned by this attack, the Defending Pokemon can't Retreat and your opponent can't use Poke-Powers and Poke-Body's untill the end of his/her next turn.
Weakness: (M)+20
Resistance: (G)-20
Retreat: (C)(C)(C)

Alright, there was a TON of cards trying to abuse defense instead of offence since you where limited in damage. This card does the best job defending out of all the defensive cards made, and I could easily seeing quite a few new decks being made if this came out. Good job afstandopleren you got yourself an animation prize! :thumb:

Spiritomb Lv.45 HP 80 (P)
P-Body: Energy Grudge
All damage done to Spiritomb from attacks (before applying weakness and resistance) is reduced by 10 for each energy attached to the defending pokemon.

RC - [C][C][C]

Spiritomb Lv.x HP 110 (P)

Discard a card from your opponents deck for each card in his or her hand.
W - [D] X2
R - [C] + 30
RC - [C][C][C][C]

DarthPika did an awesome job at making a new mill type card, I am still amazed I didn’t see more mill, send back to your opponent’s hand/deck, and instant win type attacks and powers. This card could single-handedly bring back mill decks if it where ever made. Enjoy your animation!

What’s this? A third winner for Best Adaptation?!?! Yep, there was one too many good ideas, so this card also wins an animation!

Magikarp Lv. 6 30 HP
(W) Basic
(. ) Splash
Flip a coin. If heads, switch Magikarp with one of your Benched Pokemon.
Weakness (L)+10 Resistance 0 Retreat Cost (C)

(W)(W)(W)(W) Dragon Smash 40
Choose up to 5 cards from your opponent's hand without looking and discard them.
Weakness (L)+40 Resistance (F)-20 Retreat Cost (C)(C)

The return of DWD… Just in a nastier and more terrifying form! If you had some way to stop poke-powers after you killed your opponent’s hand, you win! Great job Lucario EX, you get an animation! *Zelda chest opening music plays.*

This next section is the sections of people who made the best attackers even with such low damage. It is quite difficult to come up with and offensive card without damage isn’t it?

Tyrogue Lv.1 HP30 [F]
BASIC
[Poke-POWER] Baby Evolution
Blah
[F] Punch 10
[F][F] Kick 20
W:
R:

BASIC
[Poke-BODY] Distant Weakness
If Hitmonlee is evolved from Tyrogue, apply Weakness for attacks that damage Benched Pokemon.
[F][F] Stretch Kick

W:[P]+20
R:
RC:[C]
Hitmonchan LV.26 HP70 [F]

W:[P]+20
R:
RC:[C]

Hitmontop LV.24 HP70[F]
BASIC
[Poke-BODY] Exploit Weakness
If Hitmontop is evolved from Tyrogue, the Weakness of each of your opponent's Pokemon is now [F] instead of its original type.
[F][F][C] Triple Kick 10x
Flip 3 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads. Discard 1 Energy card attached to the Defending Pokemon for each tails.
W:[P]+20
R:
RC:[C]

This group of cards exploits weakness and does an amazing job. Not only can is make the opponent’s weakness x2 and make benched pokemon apply weakness, but you can also change your opponent’s weakness to (F)! Pure genius meditite rox, you deserve your animation prize. :thumb:

Hypno Lv 43 (P) 90HP
P-Power: Illusion
At the beginning of your turn, flip a coin. If heads, each P energy attached to Hypno is now worth 2 P energy.
PP HypnoShock
This attack does 10 damage for each energy attached to Hypno.
Weakness: D +30
Resistance: F -30
Retreat Cost: CC

This card is awesome, it may not look like it at first, but read it’s poke-power carefully… Yep, you read correctly, all (P) counts as (P)(P) for the turn, it doesn’t even say basic (P) energy, so 1 scramble would be 6 (P) energy and 60 damage for a single turn! Nice idea Potato Head Enjoy your prize.

Alright, we are at the last section, the support pokemon section! This is where all of the non-attacking pokemon go!

Plusle Lv. 30 -70HP- [L]
Basic Pokemon
Poke-Power: Plus Charge
Once during your turn, if this Pokemon and Minun are on your Bench, you may increase the damage done by your Active Pokemon's attacks to the Defending Pokemon by 10 for each Energy card attached to Plusle.
[.] Tag Team
Search you deck for a Minun and put it on your Bench. If you do, you may switch your Active Plusle for one of your Benched Minun. Shuffle your deck afterwards.
[L] Thundershock 10
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
W-[F]+20
R-
RC-[C]

Minun Lv. 30 -70HP- [L]
Basic Pokemon
Poke-Power: Minus Sap
Once during your opponent's turn, if this Pokemon and Plusle are on your Bench, when your opponent attacks, you may use this power. Your opponent's Active Pokemon does 10 less damage to your Pokemon for each Energy Card attached to Minun.
[.] Tag Team
Search you deck for a Plusle and put it on your Bench. If you do, you may switch your Active Minun for one of your Benched Plusle. Shuffle your deck afterwards.
[L][L] Spark 20
W-[F]+20
R-
RC-[C]

These two are amazing support, simply load them up with energy and watch your weak attacks do 50 more damage!!! It is a little bit broken, but the idea itself is still there. Very unique and defenently creative The Supes, enjoy your animation prize.

Gligar (F) lvl 17 60 hp
basic pokemon
(C) Soporific Sting 10
Flip two coins. If one of them is heads, the defending pokemon is now asleep. If both are heads, the defending pokemon is now asleep and poisoned. If both are tails, this attack does nothing (not even damage).
(F)(F) Cling and Drain
Discard all cards attached to Gligar. Then, attach Gligar to one of your opponent's pokemon (this removes Gligar from your field of play, but Gligar is not knocked out). Between turns, place one damage counter on the pokemon Gligar is attached to. When that pokemon is knocked out, evolves, de-volves, or levels up, remove Gligar and return it to your hand.
Weakness: : +20
Resistance: -20
Retreat: none

Even though Cling and Drain is an attack, it does 10 damage in between turns without being vulnerable. And once that is done you simply add Gligar back into your hand. Add this with an awesome defense card and you have a new deck! Enjoy your prize Dendrobatida! :thumb:

Alright! That wraps up yet another CaC challenge! I’ll be back in a week or so with another challenge so keep your thinking caps warm and your ideas fresh! So again, the list of winners are,

Afstandopleren,
