Week 1 would be their best possible week for attendance. The closest thing they'd have to deal with would be Nebraska. It'd give Chicago 3 weeks within reasonable driving distance.

I finally got my venue booked for Alabama, I will have it loaded later on this afternoon but here is the info.

At this point, I am about to accept the fact that I won't be able to attend a State Championship for the first week. There's no guarantee that Iowa will be on the first week.

at the rate they are going, there wont be a tournament in Iowa at all.:frown:

I'm about to accept defeat myself. Besides, I can't find a ride anyways for Iowa as it stands now, so I'm about ready to give up the ghost on that.

Oh well, there's still Illinois. :3

EDIT: It's official, you can officially count me out of the first week of states anyways. I've been hired to be security at a party on the 10th. Hopefully I can find some way to make it to Wisconsin. :3

According to an employee at the store in Iowa, they have no idea about States, and probably end up annoluncing it 2 weeks prior to the tournaments date. So if they go by that and are having it week one, it should be announced in a week or less.

Also humorous is that they claim to not have known anything about the tournament until Friday or Saturday, yet they were making comments on their facebook account saying that the announcement would come out this past Wednesday. I wonder how they made that plan without knowing about the tournament. I dont know what is going on there, but something doesnt sit right.:nonono:

Thanks. But tbh I know exatly how you feel. This year will be the first year I dont have to travel a minimum of 2 1/2 hours to get to states. Remeber when they had 2 weekends of states, with 2 on each weekend?? We did 2 each weekend with a minimum of 14 hours of driving each weekend. Aaaaah the good old days. I miss it. This year the only state I get to attend is the one I am riunning. Working the other 2 weekends.

Iowa seems very disorganized at the moment, the people running things seem to have no clue on how to run a tournament nor plan one properly.

I'll try calling tomorrow and see what they tell me for you guys' info. Either way, I'm not going now because of this lack of communication along with other commitments.

Troll their FB page. Not one person. Dozens. Politely, please. Follow the example of those that have already posted. The more they see that ppl need the information, the more likely they are to release it.
