Not if you know where to park. There's a parking lot that is on the same end of the convention center as the TCG hall that was $6 last year. MUCH shorter walk and cheaper.

Just be sure to get there early on Saturday as it sees an increased use. We've parked there every year.

Last year (and this year too) we stayed at the Comfort Suites - Columbus East for $62.99 (internet rate). It is a nice facility, indoor pool, comes with either 1 king/queen bed or 2 queen beds. It is 10 miles from the convention center and airport. It is also located by a JC Pennys outlet, Meier (grocery store), and fast food restaurants. It normally doesn't book up until right before Origins. You can ask Ives about the Meier (he had a great time shopping there!!!).

I only stay at Holiday Inns. I think its the ghettoness of it all that really draws me in.

This year I am staying at the Hyatt (the one on site). Got that for I beleive $121 a night. Last year the hotel we stayed at really sucked and I mean really sucked. Sure it was only $60 I think (I can't even remember then name of the hotel :lol

Last year I don't think that we paid parking a single time.

We were usually so late getting out of the events that the people running the garages had already left.

I'm pretty sure the reference is to Lot #4 in the illustration!

The High Street entrances across from Hampton Inn are those closest to the big TCG Hall (go in the doors and turn left). The back door exits from the TCG Hall are on Goodale Blvd, and there's an open surface parking lot accross the street...
