Wobbuffet is a body, so Holon Energy WP doesn't stop it.

WP doesnt stop it(duh) the water energy doesn't thats a givin(as it prevents affects of attacks)

the psychic energy burns ya though. makes the retreat cost free:lol: so it bypasses the body. GOT TO LOVE WP!

....and what the hell would that do? He's weak to Psychic, his retreat cost is too high, and the damage reduction is largely irrelevant unless he's the final guy standing.

By that same token, anyone playing with a Registeel ex tech when they know this deck is in the field are insane. You do *not* want them pulling Registeel ex into play.

plus registeel gets by those pesky decks that slaughter gardi(psychic weak) having a deck almsot completely weak to psychic is just madness.

granted deoxys delta defense form is good, but not that good. psyweak like gardi makes the deck weaker(if your not playing a psychic weak deck, deoxys delta is great)

The Mynx matchup looks tough for you, but you have ways to get around it. I don't think that you have a significant advantage, but if you escape the BF lock (most delta decks ought to play 4 gyms and a scott or five IMO), then they really don't have much hope. Just be really intelligent with your plays, because a couple bad moves WILL cost you the game.

The same can be said of any game Mercury plays, to be honest. ^^;; Or that Mynx plays, for that matter. Mynx is a very complex deck, and Mercury....well, it's not complex in form, but it's ability to adapt to various situations makes it complex to play.

Unknown E. In mercury... force your opponent to stock his bench..

No point in the Mynx matchup. You simply have the opponent filling their deck anyway, because that's how Mew ex gets his attacks.
Of course, I suppose there is merit in filling their bench with Pokémon they can't use, because they've already got one there...but I think that card slot could be used for something a lot better.

In any case....seeing as we've already got to this point, perhaps I should post a build of Mercury already? ^^;; Might help stop the cries of "It's not a deck", if I'm lucky. I'm not entirely sure how well this build would work, seeing as I haven't tested it yet, but on paper, it seems a lot more balanced as far as the US metagame is concerned, compared to the horrible, horrible deck I built specifically for my Regionals (I knew the decks, and could build a trainer build perfect to face them, but I could never pull that deck out at any other tournament). Could still use some tweaking though, which I talk about below.

Pokémon (22)
4 x Ralts DS
3 x Kirlia DS
3 x Gardevoir DS
1 x Gardevoir EM
2 x Staryu DX
2 x Starmie DS1 (Metal Navigation)
2 x Porygon RG
2 x Porygon2 DS
1 x Registeel ex HL
2 x Holon's Magneton DS OR 2 x Holon's Castform HP (See below)

Energy (13)
4 x Metal Energy
5 x Psychic Energy
2 x Water Energy
2 x Holon Energy WP

Trainers (25)
4 x Celio's Network
4 x Rare Candy
3 x Rocket's Admin
2 x Warp Point
4 x Holon Transceiver
1 x Holon Adventurer
1 x Holon Farmer
1 x Holon Lass
1 x Holon Mentor
2 x Meteor Falls
2 x Desert Ruins

Regarding the Castform, I'm a little worried about being stuck in a situation where I'm forced to play it as a Pokémon, so I'm a little hesitant to take it, even though it can be searched with Mentor.
With the Adventurer/Farmer/Mentor, it does seem a worry that one could get trapped in the prizes, and I'd be thinking of perhaps taking 1 extra of Adventurer and Farmer, perhaps reducing the number of Celio's and Rare Candy 1 each for them.
Meteor Falls is a surprising counter to Mynx, that I only just realised today. Pair it up with that Staryu, and you've got a Pokémon (Staryu or Starmie) that allows me to switch out on my terms, very easily. Up to this point, I've simply used Meteor Falls in combination with Kirlia DS, to allow my Gardevoir's to use Calm Mind on occasion, something I've found to consistantly frustrate opponents when I've gone and built a Garditank.
The selection for the 2nd stadium is difficult. There are a large number which can work in this deck. Island Cave, of course, where Flaridos is a problem. Magnetic Storm where RockLock is the primary opponent. Holon's Research Tower is always an option, as is Holon Ruin's. If metal decks are everywhere, it's even possible for a smart Mercury player to include Battle Frontier, and throw them down after turn 5.

Just playtest it! As if the matchup is relevant. I don't know which deck is played less, but virtually nobody plays either. The likelihood of this match happening is tiny.

It'll be relevant to me, though perhaps not for you in the US, depending on how the metagame is altered between now and Worlds.

In any case, playtesting matchups with these decks isn't that simple. You can't just give a Mynx or a Mercury to someone, and expect them to be able to play it properly. And with my awkward availability, it's unlikey that I'd be able to do any real playtesting against a US player who does know what they're doing with Mynx, preventing proper playtesting there.

Ditto said: Then after all your pokemon have 20HP left, I can Negative Spark FTW, since everything you use has a power.

Negative Spark hits Poke-Bodies. You're thinking of Plusle DX.

Archaic: have you thought about Skarmory DS? Oh, and one minor point: your new decklist has 5 Metal Energy Energy.

...so it does. Oo; I thought something wasn't quite adding up when I copied that from Apprentice. Well, at least I know what's missing. *Edits the list and adds in Holon Lass*

Anyway...I thought about Skarmory DS, but I've found it's "Cry for Help" to be too limited in the past. Haven't tried it with this build yet, though I see the potential for it to be useful, especially in this matchup. The question would be though, how many to include, and how to include them?
