NP! I'm happy to field any/all questions!

You would have been disappointed had you come to my last CC in Severn, MD - snowstorm had attendance at 15, and almost caused us to cancel (I was able to squeeze in 3 rounds and award prizes from Swiss standings!)...
I would of came to it... if i lived near you i would of came... we had a CC in the Snow here and we had like 20 people show and it was really fun... and man did we enjoy it... then we had a heck of a time getting home... LOL...

Last Regionals For 2005 This Saturday!!!

PTO Dorian asked me to post this info as well:

"The question was if players could upgrade their one day pass if they wanted to come early or stay to play in events on Sunday

Answer: Attendees can upgrade their tickets at the show - shouldn’t be a problem. They should go to Advance Tickets like they would normally do to pick up their goodie bag and badge holder, present their Sat ticket and ask about upgrading. Someone at Advance tickets will help them ... They would just have to pay the difference of the ticket price. If they wanted to upgrade from a Sat ticket to a 3 day ticket, they should come to the show on Friday to get the full benefit."

Looking to break the record for attendance this weekend!!!

Where did you get this?? I see a 1-day price of $25 on the convention web site. Would love to learn where/how players can get in more cheaply :thumb: ...

Is the _tournament_ starting at 10? Or is that just for deck checks/registration?

Short answer - Registration is 10 - 11.

Doing the old copy/paste from Dorian's 'more details' web page:

Event format is: Modified Constructed.

The Pokémon® TCG Regional Championship events are open to all eligible players in good standing and are run using the Age Modified Swiss format. In addition, the Pokémon TCG Regional Championship series events are also Pokémon World Championship TM Qualifiers. The Regional Championships will be held in thirteen locations. Results of this event will count towards your rankings.

Prizes are awarded to the top 8 finishers in each of three age groups (10 & Under; 11-14; and 15 and up).

What does it cost to attend? There is no entry fee to participate in the Pokémon TCG Regional Championships.

Format: You must bring your own deck to play. Your deck must comply with the Modified Format as outlined in the Pokémon Tournament Rules.

Bring your POP ID card, if you have one. If you don't have a POP ID, one will be given to you at the event.

Registration: Wizard World opens at 10:00am. We will take registration for the Regional tournament from 10:00am-11:00am. Play will begin promptly at 11:00am. Decklists will be used. You can write your deck down ahead of time. Click here to download a decklist.

What is the Tournament Structure?
The Tournament is run using the Modified Format and Age Modified Swiss pairings. See the Tournament Rules for information about the Modified Format and Age Modified Swiss. The number of Swiss rounds run will depend on total attendance at the event.
After Swiss rounds are complete, there will be a cut to single-elimination finals. The number of players to qualify for the finals will be dependent upon the total attendance in each age bracket.
Single-elimination finals will be a best-of-three game format.

What are the prizes? All participants receive a Regional Championship promo card just for entering, while supplies last. Prizes are awarded to the top 8 players in each age category. Our age categories are 10 & Under, 11-14, and 15 and up.

Oh man only a few more days. This is gonna be the toughest Regional, no question. So many people are coming from different areas. It should be fun. :D

Indeed the countdown is on. T minus three days and counting. I am hoping that some of my Ohioan chums will be in Philly so I can hook up with them.

I'll be there, sporting my Team Carolina T-Shirt. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can. I'm fairly confident on my deck choice. I'm down to two, 65% one, 35% the other. lol

I think Dorian slyly drops the start time of the tournament somewhere deep into the details page so people come an hour before they have to
You'll have a tough time getting your deck list, etc. in on time if you arrive at 11:00 though.

I'll be there and on time... even if I have to drive there myself. A mere 840 mile drive can't stop me... I've done 1100 miles in 24 hours by myself before, this shouldn't be too hard.
