Was there supposed to be a link where it says "Here" in that above post? I am interested in finding out and possibly playing in this but I don't have any information on it.
 
I just put in Hotwire, using the Convention Center address as the center. I got a 3.5 star hotel for $55/night. Go through everything, and it's the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. Enjoy!

BTW, see everybody there! I'll have two cameras going all weekend, hopefully grabbing the Juniors and Seniors in all their glory wherever I can. I'll try and get things uploaded on my Youtube Channel as I record them. It won't quite be streaming, but it'll be close enough.

I may buy some of the older cards just because of this... Very intrigued by the sound of that format...
 
Would you consider running 75 minute top cut rounds for this tournament? I know it makes the event run a little longer, but it ensures that the matches are legitimate and complete. Even my Finals match against Yoshi at IL States ended up being decided by time, and it would be better if a tournament like Regionals had sufficient time to play out with so much on the line. It's your choice and your event, but I'm sure the players would appreciate the extra time to play the games out. Either way, I'm looking forward to this! See everyone in a few weeks.
 
For the Tin Mutant, just make sure that the Tins you're using all have the same number of packs. IIRC, some have 3 packs, and some have 4.

We just noticed that as well.

All the Tins I am using will have either 5 packs (older tins) or 4 packs (newer tins). Either way, building a 40 card deck from them, should not be an issue with either can.

I'll be there! If anyone wants to talk, I'll be the Senior in the Luxio hat, most likely hanging out with my friend (also a Senior) in a Worlds 08 T16 hat the entire time.

Best guess? Jimmy will empty the cases of both CCNC and TCC to stock the singles selection. The variety he had at States was pretty good.
 
Being that Regionals is a weekend long event could we get a 75 minute top cut? Because of how large it is and the amount of players it caters towards it would be a shame for the battle times to not be maximized.

Nope, my fault completely. Haven't been to the Chicago store in a while, didn't know he changed the name. CCNC is still easier to type than TCC (Chicago). Maybe TCCC and TCCR? Yeah, that might work out better...
 
After multiple conversations and careful consideration, we have decided on a top cut time limit....

In order to maintain consistancy, We will be holding the top cut as a 60 minute plus 3 turns for all three age groups.

OMG!!!

All the packing is done!!! Retail selection will be pretty extensive. We will have all of our singles...

We will be hosting side event ALL WEEKEND LONG!!!

I can't wait to get this event under my belt. Preparation has been intensive!!!

I am so excited for all of the participants It's going to be a great event. (only wish I could play) Who knows, maybe there will be a bounty system in place for anyone who wants to challenge me!!!
