Birch, does that mean that GBA is doing Lv.100's, and only Celebi, Mew, Deoxys, Jirachi, Soul Dew, and Leftovers Wobbuffet are banned? Just reassuring myself.

If they are the rules that are posted on the website for the "Mall Tour", then yes!!!

Judges, I Need to Hear From You

~Judges-MP Birch Needs To Hear From You~

I need to hear from my judges for Saturday (JJK Cards) and Sunday (Dragon's Lair) that you will be there on time and able to help staff. :thumb: The judges are listed on the first post of this thread.

The judges for "JJK Cards" need to be there at 9:00am.:biggrin: (Shane P, Robb P, Gilbert V2, & Taylor C)

The judges for "Dragon's Lair" need to be there by 12:00 noon.:smile: (Frank G & Jose E)

I thank you for your help and support of Pokemon-TCG.:thumb: :thumb:

Well due to some unfortunate events I will be there Saturday at JJK, and the the Y2K one on 30th.

Considering some of the rules for Mall Tour need the Colosuem/XD games to inforce, you may need to revise them a bit unless you plan to bring TVs with Colosuem/XD and Cubes to inforce all the rules....

My suggestions for this, have only 4 Pokes in your party (not 6), keep either the 8 min/10 min overall time limit (hard to enforce turn time frame) and forget the only one Pokemon Asleep/Frozen rule since GBA's dont prevent it from happening. Still it should be alot of fun either way. If you need help adjusting the rulesShiftry, LMK.

Also Spotter, if you still need that Exp Share for your GBA game, LMK I still have 20+ and dont mind trading them at all

Thank you for the insight!!! Since, MP Birch knows very little about the GBA~game. Please feel free to help with the rule changes as needed. Also, any other experts of the game, please add to this discussion. "Spectreon", you are now incharge of the rules committee.

Thank for you input in advance.

lol.... thats too funny.... you know me though, MR Know-It-All... Since I plan to be there for JJK this Sat I dont mind offering my input to Andy on how to run a GBA version of the JAA mall tour, its just a matter of tweaking the GameCube only enforced rules.

GBA RULES

4 Pokes up to lvl 100 (JAA lets you have 6 in party, but only use 4 so just leave it at 4)

No Mew, Celebi, Deoxys, Jirachi, Soul Dew, Enigma Berries, or Wobbers w/Lefties

can easily leave the time limit at 10 minutes, but I leave that up to the Judge (8 minutes for a 2-2 is generally enough time), but its not worth trying to force a time limit per turn (would need extra stop watches, and judges)

No recovery moves in the last 1-2 minutes or after time is called (I leave that to Andy to choose when), if they do then they are disqulaified. Lefties, Rain Dish and any move that deals damage first and then heals are exceptions (ie: Leech Seed, Giga Drain, an attack while holding Shell Bell).

No same Pokes/held item on one team

No Pokes with same Nickname

No Pokes nicknamed after other Pokes (ie: Alakazam named Mewtwo)

Any player using Self Destruct, Explosion, Destiney Bond, or Perish Song with there last Poke is disqualified.

Since there is no way to ensure or enforce no 2 Pokes asleep or frozen, this rule will be dropped.

Obviosly no alterred Pokes. Ie: gameshark, action replay, ect...

I like those rules Ricky, so I think that we'll stick with that(no mass recovery moves after 2 minute left mark)(ex. Softboiled, Rest, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Synthesis, etc.). Also, to ensure what happened at Texas States GBA doesn't happen here, you should be in a Pokemon Center, ready to battle by the time I announce the tournament start. Disqualification WILL result to those who aren't ready, so I suggest preparing before the tournament starts. GL to everyone competing in the main event and the GBA, and I'll see
yall Saturday!

BTW, the Orange Bold is for people to see it.

Great Job~GBA Specialists

~~~Great Job: GBA-Specialists~~~
Thank you "Spectreon~ and "shiftrymaster68" for teaming up together to adjust the "GBA" rules for these tournaments during the "Holon Phantoms" Pre-releases. So, there you have the rules for the "GBA Tournament" during these pre-releases. Our judge, "shiftrymaster68" has laid down the rules about starting, etc. His rulings during these matches are final. Please read the adjusted rules and good luck to all that will be competing.
***One More Day Until The "Holon Phantoms" Arrive***
Only one more day until the "Holon Phantoms" arrive in Ada and Richardson!!! MP Birch can hardly wait. This set has some very playable cards that you can add to your deck that you are playing now or you can build around for new deck combos.:cool:
At the Richardson Pre-release, MP Birch will have the "PokeCard Draw Box". After each round when you report your results, you will draw a card from this box. It was a lot of fun in the last pre-releases. :biggrin:
At the Ada Pre-release, I know that "Doctor-D" & "oldman" are ready to release the "Holon Phantoms" on those players that will be attending. Have fun guys and enjoy the new set!!!:thumb:
Is the train coming through DFW, I might wanna hop on... man thats early..... 6am is my bedtime, not time to wake up.... If I dont see a reply I'll ask tomorrow at JJK
And Andy, just make sure you tell players as they sign up that they need to have there team of 4 ready and saved in a Pokemon Center before tourney starts, and yeah I dont blame you there... it was lame having to wait to school everyone..... Hopefully I will have a team for tommorrow, Meches may not be there, and he has my Emerald cart... oh well.. I plan to steal Poinko's since I made the team for him anyways and he wont show up this weekend.. though he will be at Y2K on the 30th.... and I should have MY TEAM by then....
