That's obvious, thank you captain. His post was about a specific error he was seeing, my post was showing him that I wasn't seeing that error, but more a designed notification page (as others have posted). It's likely his version is outdated.

Taking down a web server wouldn't likely help the gaming servers as they (should) have different purposes. They're probably also updating something on the normal site as well, or fixing some integration between the two.

There are some backend tweaks taking place right now that are critical to the success of the multiplayer release. However, pokemon.com should come out of maintenance shortly, while the game should remain in maintenance until later this evening.

I think they should just say "Down for maintenance" and not put a time. While the communication is great, the fact that the date and time don't seem to stick is a bit frustrating. It's like someone telling you they'll have something for you in 10 minutes, then each time they delay it another 10 minutes. At that point, just bring it when you have it.
 
postponed another two hours.... 48 hour maintenance total now :(
i had hoped i could play before i am leaving tomorrow for 2 days.

Also i dont understand why they have to take the forum down too. I think many players do not know about this secondary forum and are waiting all the time too until it is up

Terrible comparison for your purposes.

Half-Life 3 is a running joke because it's been delayed so many times. People actually think it's funny because the developers have been so wildly irresponsible. I think you are in the vast minority when you insinuate that HL fans have been "spoiled."

Yeah, I know this. Point to where I said Trading is coming out? I was saying that since the update was planned to be 23 hours long and they were allowing DRX codes to be redeemable, it only makes sense if they were releasing the client update as well.
 
hey guys!definitely looking forward to the release... i dont know if im happy they took down that maintenance time finish or not. Going to have a lot of codes to enter when its up though! any updates mike on progress from last night and this morning?

correct. i have seriously lost count atm. my brother and i tried to count last night and gave up. i think around 2.5k in hand but i have more plans for them besides tcgo.

I hope it's not to sell virtual cards. Someone else tried that, and it didn't go so well...
