WOAH SICK.
200 for 2
with a Mentor/Roseanne/Pachirisu that isn't that hard to pull off!
now if only it was DREable.
Hatter's Destiny just became better!

(what a shame we won't get the cards in time for nationals)

and finally something non-pokebeach exclusive.

Gardevior PK.

Let's do this!

^ That will be rotated.

Exactly, but just as we got Typhlosion with Fire Starter, we might get another Psy Shadow Pokemon down the road. I wouldn't expect it to be in the format the first day of DP5.

Thanks to Tego for posting some spoilers up at:

I see some of the rest of you spoiler makers have had a look. If you're having trouble, PM me.

You can see all the translations and Scans on Pokebeach.
Just thought I would save some time for those who are trying to translate the set.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Oh, as for a new Psy Shadow pkmn, we will have Leafeon Lv.x. Not quite the same but gets an extra nrg down.

i really like the lanturns with the tentacruel.

Tentacruel LV.37 – Water – HP90
Stage 1 – evolves from Tentacool

[.] Tentacle Tease: Choose up to 2 Energy cards from your opponent's discard pile, and attach them to your opponent's Pokemon in any way you like. Then, do 20 damage to each of your opponent's Pokemon that had Energy attached, for each Energy card you attached.
[W][C][C] Dangerous Toxin: 60 damage. If Tentacruel has fewer Energy cards attached to it than the Defending Pokemon, the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned and Paralyzed.

Weakness: Lightning (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Lanturn LV.39 – Water – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Chinchou

[C][C] Wild Current: 20 damage. Move 1 Energy attached to the Defending Pokemon to one of your opponent's other Pokemon. (If your opponent only has 1 Pokemon in play, ignore this effect.)
[W][L] Confuse Ray: 40 damage. The Defending Pokemon is now Confused.

Weakness: Grass (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Lanturn LV.43 – Lightning – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Chinchou

[L] Energy Split: Does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Pokemon that has any Energy attached to it.
[L][C][C] Aqua Bolt: Does 60 damage plus an additional 10 damage for each Water Energy attached to Lanturn.

Weakness: Fighting (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

itll end up letting me put a bunch of energy on something like a claydol and snipe it at the same time.
i can then move their energys around and be able to spread damage anywhere i want.
both the lanturns are great, and the tentacruel is good too, i think that this is a combo that could work pretty well.
i could also play an azelf lv x in there, for one psychic energy i can hit any of their pokemon for damage equall to the amount of energy they have in play, which i can manipulate at will. i think that this could have a bright future ahead of it.
to bad ill have to wait till august or later to be able to play it...

oh, and just putting it out there, victrebell's first attack is AMAZING! i might play that with weezing or something. its really good. drag off burn and poison.

thank you pokebeach for the scans/translations.

DRE/Scramble probably won't even be legal when Lantern comes out.

Honestly, until I see a bunch of new decks doing well, I feel the format will stay as stale as it is now maybe switching out one of the big decks for another.

Fossils
Eeveelutions
Garchomp X
Kingdra.dec
Polideck
Groudonk
Kyogre.dec
Rayquaza.dec
Fairies (Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf)

They might not all be tier 1, but they certainly have the ability to be at least strong tier 2.

Imagine if Boost was still legal by then. Tentacruel, attach 2 Boost to them, 20 damage each, then discard. No energy acceleration for them

Have you found out what politoed and poliwrath does? It's.... really not as good as you think...

It's easy to list decks that you feel will be a strong tier 2 and actually affect the format just like it's easy to do that now:

Empoleon
Infernape
Garchomp
Duskqueen
Electivire
Gastrodon
Blissey
Honchkrow

All of these decks have shown signs that they could be really good and affect the format, and how many of these won more than 1 state? I think the resounding answer is none of these did.

All we saw at States was GG/Magmortar (more GG than Mag) and people playing the counter to GG, Banette. That's all states was. It was cities, with more Banette.

I don't see why people keep thinking the format is going to just bloom and become some glorious thing with all kinds of different winning decks. The way cards are getting more powerful and overpowered, I don't feel there will be a metagame this season where there are more than 3 dominant decks.

For all we know there could be a new big deck in Majestic Dawn, but in most cases, it won't dethrone GG/Mag and will just make the format dominated by 3 decks instead of 2.

We talk about how these other decks will be so good, when if we look at GE, Magmortar got a bit of a upgrade too. Mag/GG will keep getting better at the same rate as new decks coming out, and I see them dominating until Worlds.

So, yeah, DP5 is really cool. I can't wait for the eeveelutions and Garchomp lv.X and Phione, but I honestly have my doubts that anything will even change (metagame wise) at Regionals. If I had to guess, I'd say that everyone will try to play their own little rogue deck at Regionals, so some regionals will be won by non-MaGG (Mag/GG) decks, but other regionals will show that MaGG is still the dominant decks, even after a brand new set.

Wouldn't put my money on that Prime. Glaceon seems to be a bit too good to pass up, the way it can take down both Gardevoir and Magmortar. Since Majestic Dawn is released 10 days before Dutch Nationals, I think that those Nats will give a nice indication of what will go on.

Heatran Lv.X

Do you think it's good? It would be beast with mag.You could use firestarter and (i think it's Flash Fire?) to power up mag. What do ya think?

It might just be me, but I can see an Eeveelutions-based deck still having trouble against GG/Mortar. Glaceon Lv.X only has 100 HP, which can be fixed by playing Espeon to up the HP by 20, correct? Glaceon Lv.X also has no energy acceleration, but that can be fixed by playing Leafeon Lv.X, right? So that leaves you with the challenge of getting those Lv.X's in play -- a problem that can be solved by playing Umbreon. But...... who's really going to try and focus on getting all of that stuff in play just to power up a single Pokemon that can't even guard that well against Gallade? If you're thinking Holon Energy WP, I'm thinking you're going to have consistancy issues getting out all of that stuff.

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying it looks like a pretty big challenge. The whole thing can be eaten up by Lati@lock, which is something I will admit has not seen play at all this season... but with all of the Poke-Bodies Eeveelutions.dec employs, I'm sure it'll see play if needed. If only they gave Glaceon Lv.X more HP than, umm, a Chansee. :nonono:

Most of those decks are nowhere near tier 2...

I seriously feel that we will have a huge metagame shift just because of what's rotating out. If Mag and GG are destined to stay competitive after Worlds, they have to be rebuilt COMPLETELY because they rely so heavily on things like DRE, Scramble and Catty.

And only 3 of those decks that I listed were pre-JPN DP5. I honestly don't think, unless someone discovers some amazing tech, that there will be something to topple G&G/Mag. Fossils stand a REALLLLLY good chance but other than that it will most likely just be a 2-3 deck format until after we get JPN DP5.
