The Franklin/Electricity thing was a good example of that, they just dont look at all angles of the myth.
the best episode was " diet coke + mentos!" nothing beats that!:thumb::biggrin:
They do all the hard and boring stuff off-camera. In any case, there's only so much they can fit into an hour show. =DIts interesting to watch the show.
Although I dont put much faith into them actually busting the myth, mostly because they leave out many details or may not even know the full details on what they are exactly trying to bust.

interesting that you mention that one, because we were talking about that at my work today after seeing Wikipedia reporting that today's the anniversarry of that experiment happening, but nobody at my work saw the whole episode.
so i ask, was it busted or not?
They did that wow I wish I'd seen that
I like the one when nothing about it was true...kudos to whoever can guess it ;p
it was busted.
although I just didnt see them approaching this experiment from all angles like they should of.
I mean do we know if Franklin wore gloves or not? Maybe Franklin was using the kite string attached to something else which could of grounded the charge, what if maybe when lightning struck the kite it wasnt a full force strike but rather a spark that spun off the strike? I still like watching the show, but theirs just too many what ifs. They even used an generated electicity from a power plant to do the experiment, I would actually think charges of lightning is less powerful volts wise.
