Anybody who would suggest putting Nats (or any TCG event) in a professional sports arena has never been in an empty professional-grade sports arena.

When there aren't people filling the seats, arenas are unnervingly cavernous and, in some cases, echoey. Even if there was enough floor space (hint: there isn't), it would NOT be a fun environment to play in.

This is no knock on any specific city - my desire to play in an arena would be just as low (zero) were I having to travel clear across the continent, or three steps outside my front door.
 
how about moving it towards the population core of the US. Indy is a little too far for driving from here. I'd much prefer driving to Ohio like it use to be.
 
ew, who would want to go to kansas for nats... lol tornado in the middle of nats and we have to play in the dark XD

Chicago seems nice as mrsmileypants said. Navy Pier has plenty of room, as they have a room that's easily as big, if not bigger than indy's room. The hotel thing wouldn't really work lol nats is going to be way too big next year.
 
Everything is bigger in Texas. Bring it here and you will see records broken for the numbers game. But if not here then keep it in Indy or go to Chicago. But Dallas and Chicago have the best priced flights when traveling. D/FW has the best priced hotel rates. The more money you save the more money you will have to buy cards with.

I vote Arlington Texas, same place as the Super Bole (So not to get into trouble with the NFL) this Year which will prove that Texas is truly the BEST at Events!

you are forgetting one thing. INDY is having the super bole in 2012!!! Indy was perfect that's the perfect spot
 
Next year at Nats: The Pokemon BBQ Battle Bonanza!
I think this would be a great side event.
