Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Neopets TCG is released!

Yes. If I remember correctly, a press release stating they had the liscence to the game went up a little over two months before they lost Poké.

Exactly. And they knew they would lose Pokémon several months before that again. If we should believe Lugia and the others, they knew they would lose it in Late 2002 already.

I'd hate to start rumors and dig old the past, but does anyone think that NP is why they lost Poké?

Impossible. Even if they would have gotten Neopets a long time before the license issue, Nintendo wouldn't care. I strongly doubt that Nintendo cares whether they print another colorful-monster-game or not. Neopets is no threath for Pokémon anyway. Nintendo never even found Digimon a threath (and they were right).

Well, Digimon was an ackward game. I never did figure out how to actually get a Digimon to Mega seeing how you would lose stages even if you were the stronger Digimon.

Anyway, I doubt that Nintendo has to worry at all about Neo Pets seeing how there's enough Pokemon players out there who would rather stick with what they know than branch out to yet another WotC game.

Digimon... was possibly the worst card game I tried to learn. ;>>

Neopets looks pretty good actually, the only thing that bugs me so far is the roll 6 and win automatically..
If I see the starter deck in any stores here, then I'll get it and check out interest at school.
But at $3.50 a booster of only 8 cards, and therefore £2.50 (more than likely), I don't think I'll be getting into it seriously...

Why on earth is Neopets so high priced? Pokémon at least had the excuse of being a big internatinal brand with expensive licenses.

That price is only what other people have said..
But yeah, each booster comes with 8 cards, plus a "virtual prize code" for use on the Neopets website.
And they'll probably be £2.50 here cause that's the default price for TCG packs, no matter how many cards they have. :\
