Props:
** To Joe and Karen of The Game Castle, Brian J, for such generous Prize support.
** To Joe and Karen for having the store set up, and the tables clean and ready for us when we got there.
** To anyone who provided me, Patty L (NH) with email addresses and helped in getting emails out to their lists to notify players about the tournament.
** To a fabulous bunch of well-behaved players who attended to HAVE FUN!!
** To the store owners for selling pizza.
** To Brian J for jumping in at the last minute and offering to TO so Jeremy could play. Also for your help and guidance with running the computer for my first solo event! Thanks for your support, especially since I had to enter all the names manually with an empty data base. (I promise I won't use that one anymore! LOL!)
** Thanks to all the players, and Brian J for helping us keep the tournament running on-time and smoothly.
** To the players for cleaning up after themselves. (throwing away trash etc.)
** Thanks to Karen and Joe for allowing me to bring in cookies and brownies to give away. I'm glad you all enjoyed them, or at least I think you did, because they sure disappeared very quickly!!
** Thanks so much to Brian J, Mary E for providing some of the raffle prizes. Glad to hear some feedback that you all enjoyed the anticipation and excitement waiting for your raffle ticket number to be pulled!

Needs Improvement:
Handwriting on registration slips. It may be mis-read and entered incorrectly. Please use more care in writing numbers especially.

Please be careful when signing slips and circling win/loss...we had 2 winners on the same slip. Thanks for letting us know right away guys, so I could correct the mistake.

** Just a hint: If you are dropping, please be kind enough to mention it to the person working at the computer, when you are done playing, even if it is not you bringing up the slip. It is a good check in to be sure you in fact do get dropped when you want.

** We missed seeing a lot of our friends that were unable to make it today!

Raffle Prizes:
Thanks to Brian J, Mary E for helping to provide the raffle prizes. What did you think of putting some of the raffle prizes in gift bags as a surprise? Did you like the raffle tickets for fun?

I probably missed something, so feel free to post if I did! Would love to hear how everyone else felt about the event. Please be sure to post feedback for the event at www.go-pokemon.com

We really appreciate your support of local NH events!! Thanks for coming!

NOTE: I will not post deck names. If you want to do your own, that is fine, but I and the players will appreciate it if you do not post any one else's deck names. Thanks!

I rather liked the raffle prizes being in gift bags (though it did slow down the selection process).

Bob likes to draw the numbers and assign a prize to the number and post the winning numbers & prizes.

Yeh, I thought of that too. But I figured it was good timing since it gave people a chance to eat lunch too.

I can't believe Dylan lost. That's the first time I've heard of that happening.

Of course it does happen! Regionals was probably Dylan's worst tournie of the year. He didn't even top cut. It was just not a day in his favor. Dylan has had a very good season. He's worked very hard, practiced a lot, and played a lot of really good decks that he has built, but not every game goes any one persons way! No matter what deck anyone plays or how good a player they are, there is always built in luck with every game, and some times it is just the particular decks match ups that make one deck more of a winning deck over another.

Yeah. I may have done better against him if I had remembered to Dual TRans my Ampharos, but no.

Mistakes/misplays happen. Both of you missed the Holon Castform/Crystal Beach, but you'll both remember next time. The more you play your deck consistently, and keep an open mind and learn from every game, the more consistent player you become. You have to become the master of your deck.
