Yes... I saw these at best buy, too. Along with the Giratina figures that you got for pre ordering Platinum. I bought one of the figures. :3

The latest promo, DP44, is a Magnezone. Its text is the following:

Magnezone Lv.53 :lightning 130HP

:lightningCharge Beam 30 Damage
Search your discard pile for an Energy card and attach it to Magnezone

:lightning:metal::colorless:colorlessMetallic Bolt 60 Damage
You may discard a :lightning Energy and a :metal: Energy attached to Magnezone. If you do, this attack's base damage is 120 instead of 60.

Weakness: :fighting:+30 Resistance: :metal:-20 Retreat Cost: :colorless:colorless

This makes me excited. Magnezone finally acquires that heavy hitter that it has lacked. In addition, this is one of the very few Pokemon that allow you to attach any energy card from the discard pile to it. That means all kinds of nice things are fair game, such as Rainbow Energy, Multi Energy, Call Energy, etc. It may bring Magnezone out of obscurity for once.

id lol's at this if DRE was legal ;p

Tried Magnavire for a few days I liked it and it was fun, but if you didn't get the right start you mine as well scoop >.>

I personally like the metal SF Magnazone out of all of them considering you can grab ANY metal or lightning Pokemon from your deck, say hello to 2-4 Electivires on the bench using Motor Drive.

Electivire X is actually way more viable since it's release due to Pulse Barrier and Toxitank decks/G variants running amuk.

Toxicroak is Imune and it gets screwed by Dialga G LV.X. It's bases (DP and SW) are also too slow like the new Zone IMHO. Without any way to protect it's frail amount of HP through a stalling attack or Special Metals, it's not going anywhere fast. It's sad that a card with such potential is being ruined by the meta through existence of other cards.

Just picked one of these up at Best Buy on Saturday. I was thinking I could throw down some sort of beatdown high-powered deck. It may include Manectric. The big question would be which option(s) do I include for energy recycling/acceleration? Electivire is nice, but it is limited to Lightnings and requires me to include an entire line for it. Can't ignore the luxury afforded me by Electivire Lv.X and Pulse Barrier though. There is the Magnezone SF-6, which can get me metals and can be easily tossed in without taking a ton of space. Then again, it does take one of my sparce 4 Magnezone slots from me, effectively leaving me with 2 for other Magnezones. It would probably cost me the Magnezone DP, which hurts me. I like free retreat. Then there is Rayquaza, which doesn't cost me a ton of space or a Magnezone, but it is flippy and also restricted to Lightnings only. The one I am most interested in is Heatran Lv.X. It gets me the energy back instantly and can function as its own attacker if I so desire. The thing with Heatran is that I would have to be using a leveled up Magnezone DP44 because I have to be using a Metal Pokemon for Heatran to work for me. What would you folks use?

This is a list I made ever since I knew it was coming out. Don't know if it works, but since I based it on the other Promo Zone, this deck shouldn't be having too much flaws.
