New Mewtwo forme? Or New Clone

Just to be clear, my post (while in response to Benzo) was to the whole thing in general. I try to enjoy it, but with the number of people who like playing with language to say something without saying it... yeah, hard to be excited about vague wording. :rolleyes: Not really anything specific to Pokémon, either.

This is probably the first time I would agree with anyone about what the new Pokemon could be. I never thought about it before but it might just be Mew's new form instead of Mewtwo's and I really hope it yes because that would mean that Mew would become a normal legendary instead of an event one and Mew is pretty weak so I would really hope this is Mew's new Form but the only reasons I doubt it is Mew's new form is because The movie where they're going to showcase the new form has Mewtwo and Genesect, not Mew and Genesect and Pokemon are saying that the Pokemon looks similar to Mewtwo for a reason. I really wish it was Mew's new form but unfortunately it seems it's Mewtwo's form instead.

I just checked Serebii and Pokebeach and thankfully, Pokemon has revealed that the new Pokemon is Mewtwo's new form not a new Pokemon. I'm really glad it's a new form of Mewtwo and not a new Pokemon. Well it looks like I was right all along about it being Mewtwo's new form. Going off what Pokemon said, the new form is probably going to be called Mewtwo awakened form.

I would guess Mewtwo's form is "redface" Form. (rooge) - Mewtwo being all dependent and all, he could have decided to change his form by himself in design to give himself his own form of identity since he did not have the choice to his form (let alone quick acceptance) by being an enhanced clone by creation. With all his powers, anything is possible that he can do. IMO- "awakend form" just doesn't seem to fit or sit well to me. (rooge) form to me just sounds more fitting and makes a bit more sence to fit Mewtwo's re-rising.
Just thoughts is all.........

Remember, Pokemon said, "Mewtwo has awakened and transformed", meaning the new Mewtwo forme is most likely going to be called Mewtwo Awakened forme and I know rooge forme sticks nicely for you but for people like me that actually like the name Awakened forme, rooge forme sounds weird, stupid and not something Pokemon would do.

Vaporeon, Mewtwo Awakened forme will probably have high defense stats instead of attack stats, just like a few other Pokemon forms, that way you won't only see Mewtwo Awakened forms in Legendary Pokemon legal tournaments.
 
^ Huh- seems to me that you are not aware of what "just thoughts is all" really means. Does the word "guess" confuse you as well?
Look up the definition of "wierd", "stupid", and please feel free to explain to me what exactly Pokemon would and would not do.

Even though I am a person who does not mind the observations and opinions of others- to this day it still strikes me as odd at how some people can be closed minded about possibilities. With respect to you, your entitlted to make an opinion for sure, but "speculation" will trump you every time.
 
OK, I missed the last sentence but the rest is just me proving that the forme is most likely to be called Awakened forme and at the moment I'm on edge as I'm really annoyed at all the talk of a STUPID and USELESS DRX or DEX-on rotation. I must correct you on your last words, speculation doesn't trump anyone at all. Speculation to Pokemon is like Team Rocket to Pikachu, and Team Rocket loses every time no matter how close they get, same story with speculation.
 
Speculation can be trumped when you all ready know the outcome, such as a scenario for "good guy vs bad guy" situation. Other then knowing the outcome- speculation leads to a cunclusion that may not have the desired outcome one is looking for.
I will give you credit for the "awakening/awakend" form having a higher chance of being true vs my thoughts on a form that IMO befits my opinion of Mewtwo.

Alternatively this could be a physical-based sweeper form as well, unless they really go and overhaul his base stats or something, seeing a tank Mewtwo would be weird...

As for me personally, maybe it's just because I'm old school when it comes to Pokemon, but I really hate this form, it looks like a bad attempt at making him an Alien from the Aliens movie series.

I highly doubt they'll make this new Mewtwo forme a physical sweeper because psychic types are never physical based and besides, remember in the game play trailer of the new forme, Mewtwo never once used a physical move. I'm been playing since Pokemon Blue and Red but I actually like this new forme. It might just be me but I grow fond of new forms and Pokemon quickly and I like new forms because it's means something new for a Pokemon I've known for a while and I like that. When I first saw Mewtwo's new forme on Pokebeach, I hoped it was a fake because it looked so ugly but after seeing the game play video, it's grown on me and now I can't wait to battle with him.
 
We still don't know what changes XY will bring to the game, and if we see a new mechanic (ie a new stat) then the new forme could very easily be intended to take full advantage of it. After all they've been vague on the interaction between new and old games. (IIRC they said you could enjoy some of your favorite Pokemon, so an overhaul isn't completely outside of the realm of possibility)
 
I would like to see based stats increased on the older gens of pokemon to compensate for the power creep. Its needed badly.

As for stats being out classed against Mewtwo in favor of other Pokemon:
Special attack: 2
Speed: 8
Hit point: 41
Attack: 87
Defense: 142
Special Defense: 127

Looks to me as if Mewtwo is going to reclaim his older glory days of being "Boss"- there needs to be some adjustments made to the base stats getting a boost.

In the footage in the link- to me it appears that Mewtwo knows he is in for a fight- and changes form to take on the continuing battle ahead having to face so many Genesect.

I'm not so sure about that at least with Mewtwo taking on all of the Genesect. It looks to me as if the shiny Genesect goes rogue, after all in one of the clips it attacks Ash while a Genesect is right next to him, as if to catch it in the attack too, and later clips showed it both alone and radiating a red aura.
 
I looked on Pokebeach and guess what? The Mewtwo in the movie is not the same as the one we all know and love. The new Mewtwo in the movie is a girl. Well it kinda makes sense for the new form but why does Mewtwo have to be a girl?!?!. Also in the trailer, it says that the 5 Genesect have gone rogue from Team Plasma and are going to try reclaim this world. It makes sense since they were revived from 300 million year old fossils. Mewtwo says the Genesect are exactly like her and don't belong in this world. I think that Mewtwo is somehow going to destroy herself and the Genesect. One last thing. I know this is just another dream/wish but I'm really hoping that in Pokemon X & Y, we get to see some of the Pokemon from Genesect's era. That would make for an exciting game but again, it's just another dumb wish/dream.
 
You know what would be a unique and totally unforeseen surprise? Have the four admins introduced in HGSS be the ones that ordered the new Mewtwo's creation to help Giovanni (who has by now probably regained at least faint memories of Mewtwo) get over the loss of Mewtwo and the utter defeat he suffered. (Potentially making it more... Human emotionally than the original one to make it easier to control, since Mewtwo's power combined with its emotional instability made it uncontrollable and dangerous.)
