folks, having experience in this matter, there is probably a lot of merging going on with servers and providers. Once that is completed, one can typically expect an exponetial increase in speed on the page.

So for now, sit back, relax, enjoy the new front page of the site and let the electrons do their thing.

Inside info? What does that mean? You're not talking about the redirect info Mike posted above?

My confusing 2¢ too: You don't suppose everyone trying to access the site and confirm accounts, agree to terms, make changes to their accounts at once is having an impact, hmmm?

Like Danny says, be patient it'll speed up.
 
I believe that my account has my old email address which is no longer active..is there any other way to reauthorize your account?
 
I'd have to say that masses heading over to the new site to check it out probably could affect the speed of the site; in turn, too many people flooding the server and slowing it down.
My 2cents as well.

Is anyone else having issues with getting the confirmation email to verify their account?
 
I had no problems whatsoever reconfirming my account. I've been playing games, and earning trainer tokens so I can deck out my Team Rocket character who finally caught Pikachu (unknown to him, it's just a plushie).
 
It takes a little while for it to go through. I had to do mine 4 times to get the email... and dont forget that the site is not completed merging. There is no telling if everyone's accounts have been moved over since the information is multi layered. I know some League information is missing and also some Torunament info is missing... we are all just putting the cart before the horse. The notice we received is the site would be down from 1/5-1/11... today is the final day it is "supposed" to be down. My suggestion, allow the site to finish and try back tomorrow. If we all keep trying to get on, this will just slow down the process. I know I ma excited too, but would prefer the merge to finish then to create more down time!
 
The whole site in question is going slow, but it's kinda expected from something that just barely went online.
 
While I am not someone who would enjoy this, I do like that they decided to put almost EVERY Pokemon episode up on the site for our viewing pleasure. :thumb:

Did you actually go to the page with all of the seasons? It list 12 seasons and then you can choose what season to look at which episodes they have. I didn't really get a chance to look in each section as it is going insanely slow, but I am going to take a guess that there is quite a few up many more than the 3 you say.

Well, I'll go take a look when the site's ready. Too bad it won't do movies......or will it? LOL
And remember how the first Pokemon.com had a music player? Wonder if it still does.
 
The card database is AMAZING! I've so far only been scratching the surface of the new features, but this is pretty amazing stuff so far.
 
Erm, this is going to sound really dumb but I can't seem to find how to log into my go-pokemon account :p Anyone else know how to?
 
You know there's trouble brewing when "Munchlax's Berry Bonanza" is easier to get to than POP ratings and event information...
