I don't know. It resembles a lot of Pokemon. But after almost 500 Pokemon, don't they all start to look alike?


My money is on a totally new evolution line. It just doesn't quite look as if it evolves from something we already have, in my opinion.
 
Wow a Pokemon with a long ponytail lol that's a first, Im going with: some sort of Hybrid of Mewtwo, more like the final hybrid and that's why its called Z. And Im guessing its strictly psychic like mew and Mewtwo but we can only contemplate lol im probably entirely wrong but its a good guess.

What was what I first thought, it really seems like it'd follow more of a fox line up (not to say that it couldn't be a wolf like Mightyena). I honestly can't see the Lucario to this, there's just too much fur IMO. But, it's really hard to say at this point.
 
I think it's a Skuntank evolution. CALLING THIS NOW.

I think I'm going to do a mockup when I get home, it wouldn't be the first time I tried to draw in a sugimori style so we'll see how it goes - I'll post here if it's worthy. But on to business - I can glean a couple things looking at the silhouette. First thing, not quite sure if that is a ponytail. It's at a very weird position and the reason many people probably had their first impression is because on that pic if you look closely you can see a small oval where the "tie" of the ponytail would be. Kind of an influencer in my opinion, so I'm keeping an open mind as I think it's POSSIBLE it could also be a tail.

Second thing, 100% sure it is not a Lucario or Riolu evo. Most pokemon when they evolve keep a couple characteristics. My 3 big issues are that the silhouette doesn't really match Lucario's 'sleek' look, the whole thing is very 'wild' looking. Also, there are no spikes on the hand(s) (which I think would definitely be a carrying factor in a Lucario evo). Finally, the head does not match up with a Lucario-type head at all. Lucario and Riolu look verrrrry similar and I think this is too far a step away to be in that family.

I think Shaymin matches with the silhouette quite nicely but they haven't made evolutions of legends before and I don't think they're about to start. Ninetales I think is fairly plausible but what bothers me about the possibility of ninetales is that the tail looks very short and stubby (if it is a tail instead of a ponytail) and I think that a Ninetales evo would have an even bigger tail with even more segments.

The reason I'm thinking Skuntank is that it matches the wild look. Also, the paws all match up with Skuntank (3 pointy toes), and I think the biggest driving factor is the head. Definitely that fur made me go in that direction. Also, if you compare Skuntank to this one, you'll see that right about the place where the 'white' pattern on Skuntank's legs ends is right about where the arm thins off on pokemon Z, and the white fur on Skuntank and the shape of the fur right before the segmentation are identical.

On second thought Mightyena totally makes sense too considering the reasoning the guy on Pokebeach posted. We'll have to wait and see I guess!
 
Guys its a blaizeken evolution.
Its gonna be related to the torchic/cumbusken/blaizeken family either another choice of evolution for cumbusken or a evolution of blaizeken.
Either way its gonna be apart of this chicken family.

Blaziken family is made up of birds... this is clearly some kind of mammal because of the legs (look at a picture of a real bird and a real dog or cat's back legs and you'll see what I mean). Also, the whole series would be broken if they introduced 'Stage 3' so I don't think that will happen anyways... >_>

It could definitely be a Weavile evolution. It has the headdress, the facial shape (if you look at what could be a chest as a face instead), and the claws...

It's in the wrong place for a tail. Look closer, it would have to start partway down the Pokemon's leg.
 
I still think it's either an alternate evolution for Riolu or a Mightyena evolution. Possibly a legendary, but I prefer to think of it as one of the former two.

There are tons of different types of tails (and tons of different points of perspective [i mean that in the literal visual fashion]), and no one said the base had to be where it ends in the picture. As an example I just sketched something quick in MS paint to illustrate my point but it's easily plausible it could still be a tail.

IDK, on the picture where it walks on 4 legs it looks like some kind of cave troll :/
Needs more tail and less ponytail
