It would be an amazing card that is not mass produced, therefore will be sought after. I'd expect the price to hit that high - I'm running off AUD of course.

That said, mythical worshiped beings willing, the card will NOT be a pseudo Computer Search.

Yes, after doing a little more math with the amount of BR's, I under-estimated. However, as you say, the effect will not be a computer search reprint... I love the baseless speculation about this card.
 
There are currently 65 autumn battle road tournaments listed on Pokemon.com for the US. Just assuming that there are at least three players in each age group at every one of those tournament means that there will be 585 Victory Cup cards after the series is over. Now there probably won't always be three players for every age group, but I would think that Victory Cup will have at least 500 copies in circulation. It's not an amazing number, but unless Victory Cup breaks the game it should be enough.

when you consider there will be more than 9 unique players at each battle roads (even if they attend multiple), it still means there is limitations on the availability of the card,

it will never ever hit $300+, but if it's good it will still hit 30-40 possibly

there is however NO hint to even what this card does... so it could just be really bad, like the alph lithographs, and as such really isnt worth speculating how much it will sell for

I don't think it's speculation as much as a 'what if' scenario. Let's face it, PCL/P!P aren't that insane, right? right?!

With an effect like Computer Search and that kind of availability, I'd respectfully disagree.



In all honesty it's probably going to be a Victory Medal effect, or something similar.
 
It's probably not even going to be a playable card.
It will probably just say "Congrats! You took 1st at a Battle Road 2011-2012" and have a picture of a gold medal or something.

Oh, my point was that making such an amazing card so limited would be insane.

If a card with 'Discard 2, search 1 of anything' came out, it would be game breaking, but if it was in a mainstream set, I personally wouldn't care.

It's not what for me, it's how.

At least all of those are available to the masses.

And hey, it might not turn out to be so bad. I mean, we've seen bad - Garde/Gallade, anyone? So I'm not overly fussed.
 
Yeah, I know what you mean. Would TPCi do it? I'm looking at those cards and Tropical Beach wondering what promo will be....

Seriously? People are trying to guess the effect of a card based on it's name alone???

It could be anything. Just wait and see.

As a collector, I like this. I'll probably try and pick up a full set at any BR's that I go to.
 
I wonder if this will make VM no longer legal. I got 3rd place last Battle Road and I am aming again this time to make top 3. If I had not lost the first round to a freind of my I might have gone all the way to make it to the top 2. But top 3 is ok with me if I make top 3 this time I will be happy
