Next league Season

If I'm going to ask 10 competitive players and 10 kids or parents from my league if they rather want Call Energy or Special Metal / Special Darkness, I'm sure 20 out of those 20 people will say Call Energy. Yes, it will be out of format next year, but until then, it's a really helpful card and it's almost impossible for new players to get a playset because it's in an out-of-print and in most cases out-of-stock booster set.

league player who traveled with me: "Can I borrow your Call Energies for this tournament?"
me: "Sorry, I only have two playsets and already gave one to [another player]."
That's like standard here. =(

If it's about cards that stay in format, why Azelf? I don't want to complain about it, it's great to get this card, but it's the reason I don't understand the lack of Call Energy.

However, Spiritomb and Expert Belt are great choices, at least a lot better than giving cards that can only be used in SP decks.

Call energy should have been with Tomb for the first season.

but then there would be bo 'bad' card.

and Call Energy is better than azelf imo.
since Azelf is only needed by ones in decks.
Call is needed by atleast 3 to help.

Personally I'm a little surprised that hard to find current staple cards were not included. The above mentioned Call Energy would have been a great idea. Broken Time Space, Pokemon Communication, Pokemon Collector, Palmers, and Judge or Lookers would have been great as league promos. Pair them with a useful Pokemon, such as Sableye, Giratina (Let Loose), Crobat G, and Mesprit.

While the above would be a great lure to get some people to leagues that normally wouldn't attend, we also have to remember that not everyone is geared towards tournament play.

Gosh TCPI, why do you give us this garbage???

Season 1: Luxray GL LV X and Luxray GL
Season 2: Garchomp C LV X and Garchomp C
Season 3: Cyrus' Conspiracy and Cyrus' Initiative
Season 4: PokeTurn and Power Spray
Season 5: Power Gain and SP Radar

Balanced seasons. Your welcome.

The critics are totally ignoring the theme of the seasons...

So I've noticed.

And to touch on Call vs Dark/Metal... Well, yeah. Of course people want Call Energies, they're expensive. Dark/Metal, not so much.

However, I'm glad they're doing Dark/Metal to be honest. I've already got 8 call energies. ;P

But to be fair, I definitely see why people are upset by this. They don't see the need of reprinting a card that's reprinted every other set, they'd rather see a card that sees a lot of play and is only from a single set (which is why I like the fact Spiritomb is getting reprinted first, with Donphan as its "bad" card) but as far as these promos go, I think they're better than last league, only because several of them already rotated out (Claydol, Roseannes, and Felecities), and everyone wants spiritombs.

Well, I got the Hurdle Dash supplies surprisingly early. I like how they packaged the patches. Not sure how I feel about the inconsistency with the shapes of the patches though.

Hurdle Dash TCG Challnge
If a player chooses to participate in the Hurdle Dash Challenge, he or she may draw an additional card at the beginning of his or her turn.

Well, Hurdle Dash is about speed...

Hurdle Dash VG Challenge
Challenge another player in the Speed & Jump Course: Hurdle Dash, Lamp Jump, Disc Catch, Relay Run.
