Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

NW Regional Championships: Salem OR, November 12-13, 2011 (TCG AND VG)

Glad to know i lost to the winning deck. Definately the best player of Ross's deck i've ever faced or seen, congrats.

I got 5th or 6th with Goth myself. Worst i've done in the last 4 years xD Great "weekend" of Pokemon, not sure the 2 day event did anythign for me, but that's just my opinion.

Alright- give me a few days to write up an Article on the VGC side of the two days, also-- from a point of view as a staff person as well.

Hey...just got home a few minutes ago...thanks to the players, parents, staff, BDS and all the other folks that made running side events...really fun...look forward to next year..............

Just want to do a quick thank you to all the players and staff from Regionals this weekend! Thanks to all the players for coming out and making all of our hard work totally worth it and for giving us two great tournaments. Good job to all the staff for making this event AWESOME and for keeping everything running smoothly.
I was very lucky to be able to help out and to be introduced to some big names from all across the country; thanks to Mr.Raichu, Momma June, and BDS for including me in the staff :)
NW Regionals 2011 is definitely one I will always remember <3

Thanks everyone!

Since we're passing out some thanks here, I want to add a few of mine:

Thanks to the staff. You are the best crew in the WORLD. No matter what you were assigned to do, it was done quickly, professionally and with a great attitude. That sets the tone for the whole event. :thumb:

Thanks to the players. You all came to Regionals to have a great weekend of Pokemon and I hope you did. Looking at the penalty summaries, the tournaments were pretty darn clean considering how BIG they were. Watching the side events, like the photo booth and booster draft, it seemed like there was a whole lotta fun being had by all.

Thanks to my fellow PTOs who traveled to Salem to help make this the smoothest tournament I've ever had the pleasure of organizing. It was being billed as a mini-nationals and I think you could almost drop that mini part.

And finally, a special thanks to Mrs. BDS, Mr. Raichu and momma_june - THE BEST PARTNERS ANYONE COULD HAVE FOR AN EVENT LIKE THIS!!!

I had such a great time and I can't wait for Oregon States on March 10th, 2012! I hope to see over 400 of my Pokemon friends at that one. We'll build on what we learned at Regionals and it will be an even more amazing Pokemon experience for you all.

Last weekend was a BLAST!!! I am so grateful to have been part of a phenomenal crew of Judges, Runners, and PTO's. I am excited for states and I'm glad to have made some new friends as well. It's also cool that we were the BIGGEST regionals for the TCG on Saturday. can it get any bigger and better then last Saturday? Oh, I hope so.

One more thing, there's an article about Regionals in Salem's local paper the Statesman Journal. Here's the Link:

The Delegate of the Great Regional of the Mississippi Valley would like to hubly congratulate the BDS, June and Chris Clanton and the rest of the elite NorthWest Team in their capture of the Fall 2011 Regional Attendance Challenge.

You simply rock you all!

I'll be happyish with 3rd I guess.

Congrats to all on some really well run events this time around.

Hope to see some of you in our Travels in April!!!

BDS, thank YOU!!! This was my 5th time to run computers for your event, and I just love it! Being on your staff, especially this time with Patricia and Tymon, is hard work, but your graciousness and the camaraderie that we feel in the Hive makes it worth it. I'm always aware that I'm part of something very special!

As one of the HJ's, I would love to know what you thought was handled incorrectly, in any division. Your comment about Washington having the possibility to win all 3 divisions makes it seem like you are simply upset about the results of the tournament. A few examples would not only help validate your claim, but would also help the Judging staff improve in the future.

Have Chamionship points been updated for juniors yet?
When we run these big events on separate computers there is only one of them sanctioned initially. Then the day of the event we sanction the other two age groups. Those additional tournaments, which in this case included the Junior division, are not classed as Premier events until TCPi stamps them as such. I think that is why you are not initially seeing the Championship points showing up. The additional tournaments in Oregon have been stamped Premier events as of yesterday, so if the Championship points don't show up in a day or so let me know and I will follow up with TCPi. This is the first big event I've run through this process since we have been awarding Championship points, so there could possibly be a glitch in the system because of the way we do them.
