In reponse to the last two posts:

1) GG does take the least skill to play, I agree, but to actually WIN with the deck takes an immense amount of skill. You don't see any scrubs winning with the deck, I'd say everyone even in the T8 and probably T16 or more that played GG at Nats was a very good player.

2) Sure, you can play Steven's Advice. Most good decks already run 4. Here are the problems with Steve and no Claydol:
a) You can only run 4 Steve. Copycat and TVR and POV are all much inferior options to Steve, so after the 3-4 Steve, your draw line becomes weaker.
b) Without Claydol, it becomes much harder to drain your hand and get rid of cards. It's almost near impossible to get back down to 6 cards after playing a Steve and to play consecutive Stevens.

Banette if played right is HEAVILY favored. Anyone who has played the deck can tell you this. I played Banette for States and Regionals. I ended up going a total of 13-3 or 16-6 overall. My record against GG (with Dusknoir in it) was 6-0 or 7-0 including top cut games. While Dusknoir helps, it doesn't help that much since Crystal Beach is going to be in play most likely. It takes 1-3 turns to setup and while if you have to use it your most likely in trouble to begin with. Anyone who says the matchup is in GG favor or even a 60-40 in favor of Banette, doesn't know what they are talking about.

Good thing all GG's run at least 3 counters.
Banbliss if played right?! Are you kidding me?! How do you not play it right, jeez.
Def. not favored, at all. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about too, BUDDY!

Lol. All I'll say on the Banette/GG discussion is that Banette, for a deck tailor-made to beat GG, doesn't beat it nearly as often as it should...

You would think players would be playing Banette right at Nationals...:/

I was not talking about BanBliss. I was talking about Banette. Banette has much better matchup against GG than BanBliss. However, BanBliss has a better matchup with the rest of the format. Even with 3 counters it, what would your "counters" be? I have yet to lose to a GG even in playtesting with my Banette, so I don't agree.

I agree, but also kindly disagree. A player that knows what they are doing against GG with Banette will have a much easier time than most people think. The ability to be able to not be Psychic Locked because Banette OHKO Gardy is huge. Gallade is also a OHKO if they play Lake or the play PlusPower/Strength Charm. I just feel that while Banette can 100% beat GG more consistently than any other deck, the fact is that it won't be the only deck being played at Worlds which pretty much makes the Banette discussion null and void. BanBliss is a possibility but it does have problems with GG as well does the rest of the format.

Banette is an answer to GG when it's properly played and built but I can't see it winning Worlds. Even though you would play against GG every round you wouldn't still win Worlds. One or few GG players will anyways outplay Banette, at least at Worlds.

Not to mention that you'll probably meet one random Psychic Resist deck, 1 Torterra or Empoleon which gives you even more problems. So I have to agree with Drew that at least straight Banette isn't the play for Worlds. Chansey starts with Banette/Blissey against GG gives GG also too much time to set-up so it's risky as well.

Everyone hates the deck so much that I don't think it will be played at Worlds. I don't even think that Mikey will play it at Worlds even though he Top4ed with it at Nats. People seem to forget the ~50 European players that will be there to try their rogues out.

Max. 10% of European players will be playing Gardevoir because they think they've made the ultimate metagame counter. After last year's Worlds and Danish Flygon ex deck, European players will be even more encouraged not to netdeck their decks from Gym/TopCut.

GG won't won Masters, you didn't hear it here first.
Is the secret deck somehow called ERNU?

Outplay them?? You mean out setup,str8 Banette can draw really bad sometimes and that can be the downfall vs GG.They could outplay them, but the matchup isnt in Gardilades favor tho.

I'm pretty sure Gardy is still favored. How is just taking out the Blissey any better. Great now you have room for... stuff that beats gardy? Yeah, what do u run, 3-3 Mismagius 4-4 Banette? rofl yah right

No, that is Jeremy Scharff-Kim.

Im pretty sure he knew that. But I find it funny still.

I'd say straight Banette vs PLOX is about 55-45 in PLOX's favor, possibly reversed. A good player of either deck can beat one of lesser skill in any situation. Its really hard to judge though, as it all depends on set-up and blah blah... we all get the idea. Im just repeating what everyone else is saying to keep my first comment from being spam.

:lol::lol::lol: yea 55/45 in PLOXs favor :lol::lol:

If you think Banette cant beat PLOX/Gardilade consistently then your wrong.

I think you're a little biased Banette EX

Lol no,but alot of GG/PLOX players know that Banette is the only deck that can beat it consitently besides mirror matches. I mean Banettes matchup vs Empo isnt badder than 40/60 same for it as Magmortar,Toterra Im not sure, but other decks it has at least 50/50.
