Outplay them?? You mean out setup,str8 Banette can draw really bad sometimes and that can be the downfall vs GG.They could outplay them,but the matchup isnt in Gardilades favor tho.

I personally feel when I was playing GG during Cities and States, that I would much rather play BanBliss then straigh Banette or straight Blissey. I found that I had a better machup when they were both combined then when they were seperate. I do feel Str8 Banette has a better matchup then you think against GG than BanBliss.
Nothing gives Magmortar a bad time in best of 3 untimed.

I'd say straight Banette vs PLOX is about 55-45 in PLOX's favor, possibly reversed. A good player of either deck can beat one of lesser skill in any situation. Its really hard to judge though, as it all depends on set-up and blah blah... we all get the idea. Im just repeating what everyone else is saying to keep my first comment from being spam.
Dustin, that is the most ridiculous logic. Banette is not an underdog. It is like a 70/30 favorite if not better. I am going to send "Matt" your way so he can explain this to you. :tongue:

Lol no,but alot of GG/PLOX players know that Banette is the only deck that can beat it consitently besides mirror matches. I mean Banettes matchup vs Empo isnt badder than 40/60 same for it as Magmortar,Toterra Im not sure,but other decks it has at least 50/50.
Okay see here is one of those statements that makes absolutely no sense. Banette vs Magmortar is like a 20/80 if not worse matchup for Banette. Empoleon I feel is a better matchup for Banette. I feel that is nearly a 35/65 matchup for Banette in favor of Empeoleon. THere is no way that it is 40/60. Torterra is the worst of the 3 I think, however I haven't played it. I would not be suprised if you can get a fast start, I just feel a good play will be able to catchup if they are playing Torterra correctly.
Well I would be most scared of Banette, but would still feel comfortable playing against it with Gardy.
Banette has an AWFUL Magmortar AND Empoleon matchup, they're not even CLOSE to 40/60. If Empoleon or Mag gets any kind of set up with Scramble or ANYTHING the game is OVER!
Um, Mikey, Banette plays 3-4 Crystal Beach. Which is why it has a better Matchup IMO vs. Empoleon than Magmortar as Magmortar can recover via Typhlosion.

Thats the only they can win,in my list it isnt hard to lock in Cess/Crystal Beach. I mean maybe its just me that think Banette can contend with any deck. I mean thats my opinion so Im not going to change regardless.
My experiences with the deck have been successful,so I cant speak for everyone else.

55-45 isnt much over 50-50, so I would see it as a very reasonable percentile.
