Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Official PTCGO Bug Thread (Updated 3/7)

Well every time I get on PTCGO I have to uninstall, then reinstall because of a "refresher update" that never actually comes.

Last 3 times I havent been Ble to utilize Tool Scrapper, I play it and cannot discard anything. I have no way to back out of it either, so I basically stall by accident.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but earlier it was showing my opponent's active Pokémon, but it was in their hand still. Like, you could not see it in the active, but you could see it in their hand. It wasn't a hidden card either, it was completely visible. I poisoned it, and it remained in his hand, but it had the poison marker. I put it to sleep, and it turned sideways, but it was still in his hand. It finally showed it on his bench after he played Switch to move it from the active. Has anyone had this problem? And the card he had active all that time was Emolga NDE. Don't ask why, I have no clue why I was playing against Emolga, lol.

I've had that happen too, along with it telling me to pick an active pokemon, but just showing my hand (had to click the pokemon from my hand). Seems like something gets stuck along the way. Thankfully, it's not game-breaking.

I've had a situation where one of my prizes didn't have a sleeve (but the rest of my deck did).

I've also seen a Pokemon in my opponent's discard pile with damage still on it.

Has anyone seen this problem where you're unable to see pokemon tools being played on the bench and not able to discard them using tool scrapper? I played a couple games where I use tool scrapper and wasn't able to discard any tools on the bench but the active.

I've posted bug report on the ptcgo forums about the problem.

Having the client claim you've entered the wrong username or password when you haven't is the most annoying thing ever.

Before, the Tool used to block the Energy. People complained about not being able to access the Energy (Crushing Hammer, Energy Switch, etc.), so they "fixed" it by putting the Energy in front. Now the problem is that Tool Scrapper can't access the Tool. The temporary fix is to right click the Energy, use the arrows to get to the Tool, and then click it to discard.

Victini EX's Turbo Energize forces you to take two Basic Energy from your deck and attach them to your Benched Pokémon. Since the deck is not public knowledge, you should be able to take 0 or 1.

It seems like any Lugia EX that has free retreat from Darkrai EX's Dark Cloak does not take an extra prize.

This is the perfect time to illustrate the need for detailed reproduction steps when submitting a bug report.

Initial reports simply stated that the Overflow Ability wasn't working properly. The QA team tested the card in a handful of different scenarios and was unable to reproduce the bug, so it was not entered into the database to be fixed.

Including the piece of information above, they have been able to consistently reproduce this bug. It is now in the database and the Dev team will be working on a fix for the next scheduled game patch.

Details matter!

Keep up the great work, guys! We appreciate your efforts!

Good reminder. And like Pooka said, there was a Darkrai in play and the Lugia EX had dark energy attached. Will remember to add more detail if/when I post again. Thanks!

I noticed the tool thing when I put a Rocky Helmet on a benched Pokemon.
It just vanishes...

Speaking of vanishing, still having that same issue with not being able to see the Pokemon.
It's only when I am trying to build/edit a deck.
It only occurs at the library.
I can see trainers/energy just fine.
The Pokemon tab has no images, and even the "entire deck" shows no Pokemon.

Was going to try to modify my poison themed deck, but nope could not see what was in there.

BTW any particular reason we can't use the Basic Orange or that starter deck you can get for typing in a set name (boundariescrossed & plasmastorm) for the trainer challenge?
I am not really familiar with some of the stuff those do, so I want to try them in Trainer Challenge.

Though I suppose I could do a practice game.

Also when are they gonna update that Trainer Challenge to have more "modern" deck types?

The game appears to be confused when it comes to knockouts caused by Poison damage. If an attack does damage and then that Pokémon is KOd by Poison (or Virbank City Gym) damage, the game will register it as a KO via damage from an attack. So that means things like Rescue Scarf and Terrakion's Retaliate will activate when they shouldn't.

When I used Crushing Hammer on a Mewtwo that was asleep and poisoned from Hypnotoxic Laser, it switched the card back to an upright position. It let me use the Laser again when I shouldn't have been able to (no effect). I failed it and noticed it was still actually asleep because my opponent had to flip between turns and failed.

Also, not a bug but I think having the player whose turn it was last flip first for sleep when they're both asleep might be a better order of operations so it's easier to keep track of who flipped what :)
