Looks like Japan is serious about taking us back to base set days (Ok admn was not base set but it is for sure old school)

Per Pokebeach the New Supporter "N" has the exact same text as Rockets Administration "Both players shuffle their hands into their decks and draw as many cards as they have prizes left".

And the newl Bird Pokemon Archeops has Prehistoric Power ability. The assumption is that this will have the same effect as Fossil Aerodactyl whos Pokemonpower made it impossible to evolve any pokemon in play as long a Aerodactyl was in play.

This looks like thing are going to be very interesting this upcoming season.

Apparently the new fossil mechanic will exclude the fossil itself from countign towards evolution stage. Or mistranslation. Will be interesting to see.

Not to mention, we're also going to be getting a return of the EX cards. This is shaping up to be a very interesting setup for Pokemon if the various old school mechanics start coming back. I'll cringe if I see double rainbow energy get reprinted. >_<

YES!!!!!!!!! All I want now is my Legendary Acent Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres ex and I will have fun with the game again.

I can't make any sense out of why they'd come out with new EX cards and have them be a completely different mechanic than before. That just... does not compute. Different mechanics get different names.

That being said, I think they'll be the same as before.

That being said, my mind is blown.

Announcement reposted here (Pokebeach not loading)

Information has surfaced regarding the third Black & White sets – Psycho Break and Hail Blizzard – which will be released in Japan on September 16th. It looks like the set will be bringing back Pokemon-ex!
Pokemon-ex will return with these set. (Mewtwo EX and Kyurem EX?)
Pokemon from every generation will appear in both sets. Confirmed so far are Scrafty, Pikachu, Lucario, Bisharp, Cinccino, and Meowth (in addition to Mewtwo and Kyurem from the other day).
Each set will feature 52 cards (48 cards + 4 secret rares).
Cilan will appear as a Supporter card.
The first Stadium card of the Black & White era will debut.
Double Colorless Energy will be reprinted.
New “Battle Strength Decks” featuring Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX will be released on October 21st for 1680 yen each. Each deck contains 60 cards and both a holo and non-holo version of their respective EX card.
When you buy five booster packs of the set, you will receive either a Luxio, Riolu, or Meowth promo.

If anyone has the card scan translations, please post them here.

How can they be more godike than the actual ones... Are they going to perform a YingYang attacks that need all 3 of them in play to do 200 damage without energy ?

jon might kill me but...

N
Trainer's – Support
Each player shuffles his or her hand into his or her deck and draws a number of cards equal to the number of his or her remaining prize cards.
You can only use 1 Support card during your turn.
Archeops - Fighting - HP130
Stage 1 - Evolves from Archen
Ability: Prehistoric Power
(The text is unreadable, but it probably is similar to Fossil Aerodactyl's: "No more Evolution cards can be played. This power stops working if Aerodactyl is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.")
Gigalith - Fighting - HP150
Stage 1 - Evolves from Boldore
[F] Core Cannon: Choose one of your opponent's Pokemon. This attack does 20 damage times the number of Fighting Energy attached to this Pokemon to the opponent's Pokemon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)
[F][C][C][C] Power Gem: 90 damage.
Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4
Stunfisk - Fighting - HP90
Basic Pokemon
[L][C] Trickle: 30x damage. Flip 2 coins, this attack does 30 damage times the number of heads.
[L][L][C] Thundershock: 50 damage. Flip a coin, if heads the Defending Pokemon is Paralyzed.
Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: Lightning (-20)
Retreat: 1
