MEGA-RAFFLE:Anyone who has attended Oregon State Championships before knows it is a full day of Pokemon excitement and FUN. To kick things off we are planning a FREE Mega-Raffle for at least 4 great prizes.

Here are ways you can get your entry tickets:
  • You will get an entry ticket when you register for the State Championships
  • You will get an entry ticket when you register for the DS tournament
  • Entry tickets will be given out as prizes in selected side events
  • If you bring a new player that has never participated in the Oregon State Championships before, you will BOTH be given an entry ticket!
If you bring 5 new players they each get their extra ticket and you get FIVE extra tickets!!!

You can use those tickets to enter the drawings of your choice for the following items:
  • Pokemon BLACK version DS game
  • Pokemon WHITE version DS game
  • Full Box (36 Boosters) Black & White set (this prize will be delivered after the set is released in Spring)
  • Worlds 2010 Prize Pack including a Play Mat, Cap and other Worlds 2010 items
  • Pokemon Banner - This is one of the BIG ones Pokemon sends us for the Premier Events

POKEMON STORE: The Pokemon Store, run by Mrs. BDS, has become a tradition at the Oregon State Championships. This year you will be amazed at the number of great items that we've found. The selection has never been better and we will do our part to stimulate the economy by keeping the prices affordable. In addition to all the unique, hard to find Pokemon merchandise we will also have a selection of boosters and theme decks from most of the recent sets.

DS TOURNAMENT: We will have DS tournament going on throughout the day. The tournament will require you to bring your own DS and game. There will be Pokémon merchandise for prizes, and everyone that participates will get an entry ticket for the Mega-Raffle! We will structure this tournament in a way that those people participating in the main TCG tournament can still participate in the DS tournament so come and do both.

RULES COMNG SOON

LEAGUE PLAY: You can spend your time before, after and between rounds of the main event battling with old friends and new acquaintances, and every one of those battles entitles you to a pick from the card box at the League Headquarters. In the box are hundreds of Pokemon cards from years past, BUT sprinkled throughout the box are some special cards that get you great Pokemon prizes!

FUN ZONE: We will have Pokemon related activities such as Pokemon Rumble battles and a creative center for expressing your artistic skills. Plans are still coming together for these activities so I’ll have to post more details later.

< Based on interest, we will hold side events after the Swiss rounds of the main tournament end >

BOOSTER DRAFT TOURNAMENT: You will get six boosters (Recent sets), which will be drafted in pods of 6 to 8 players. You will then build a 40-card deck. All these cards are yours to keep. Energy will be provided (we will need the energy returned after the tournament). After putting together your deck (you have 30 minutes to do this), you will play three or four 20-minute rounds in a Swiss style tournament (everyone plays in all rounds). Prizes will be Pokemon Boosters. Entry Fee - $20.00

CONSTRUCTED or THEME DECK TOURNAMENTS: Upon request if there is enough interest.

I've already booked a room at the Comfort Inn! It is going to be an awesome Party!

PS: Info for Washington States should be posted by the end of the week. Don't worry, it will not conflict with Oregon States.

Mega Raffle would be so much better as Yanmega Raffle. Free Yanmegas > Free pogeymanz games lol.

But seriously, Mega Raffle is O: This should be pretty sweet. Though i guess i'll aim for 2nd since i plan to win Washington states anyway. No need to be greedy ^^

Wooohoooo!!! I already put in the for the time off from work! I can't wait! And I'm hoping to bring a
SWARM of my Southern Oregon pokemon players!!!

Sooo, did anyone else get quoted a pretty high rate at the Comfort? Last year I got a room for Me, Alex, Ashley, Gage, and Foley for like $80 a night, and I was just quoted $165. Maybe the guy I was speaking with was wrong? I dunno.

My bad...I should have read the "RULES COMING SOON" thing.

EDIT: Is this Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum or Black and White?

The DS tournament will not be Black and White since the game will only be released on the 6th and many people won't have it yet. However, we are working with our DS specialists to make sure the new game is prominently featured during States, including the possibility of having some B/W Pokemon to give away.

More to come soon ...

It is because you are so awesome! They charge more for your awesomeness.

We seem to be paying about $40 more per night than what I remember paying last year, so apparently I'm not as awesome as you.

Our booking for Regionals was cheaper than States. Perhaps something big is going on States weekend, so they have raised their rates. More capitalistic price gouging by the wealthy elite.

I booked online with a AAA discount and am not paying more than I was last year at all....Guess I am not as awesome as other people.
