Along with the $300 Travel award, (Not straight up 300 bucks) you get a trophy and a chance to compete in a much larger event, a trohpy, and you have to be proud of it. If you want attention for it, then tell people about your win, but it's not really about the glory anyway, you play to have fun.

and you guys need to stop talking about sex apeal for this game. This is a family game, i know that i certianly wouldnt want my children exposed to that, and i cant belive people like pop and mom are even condoning this.

After finishing the finals of the ECSTS, I was interviewed by people from Belgian TV. When at a one of the mall tours, my father and myself were interviewed by Japanese TV. Pokemon isn't the craze like it once was, but it's still a good game. I think that's why the media coverage has died down, Monopoly is a good game but it doesn't mean we all know who the top Monopoly players are. However, wouldn't it be neat if we did know? Mad props to anyone who gets Pokemon media attention. I think the game still has its celebrities and legends though, people who've played for a really long time should know who Pojo and Scott Gerdhart were, and newer players should probably know Johnny Blaze (unless he's more local than I thought he was).

To those who want more media coverage, is there a plan of action?

You want a WAR! I'm a lover not a fighter! You say that Pokemon is a kids game and shouldn't have sex appeal... but if it wern't for sex appeal there would be no children to play! HOHOHO!! Good luck working for the MAN with that SAT score. I plan on being financially independant before I'm 35. Then I'll BUY Nintendo and ban you from the game. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

My score? Didn't take the SAT; you only need to take the ACT to get into any michigan schools, and I got a 29 on that! Not bad I must say! I could have taken it again BUT WHY, when I did so well the first time.

In one breath you knock me for bragging about my STS win (which was, btw, AMAZING and a true sign of genius and greatness-- just look at my peers: Seena, Brooks, Brooks, Hanley, and some 19-year old that beat Austin, or else it would have been Austin himself! Cmon now, the STS was an INSANE accomplishment!), however in the next breath you go bragging about your SAT score (unimpressive btw, I finished FIRST, better than anyone else, and you ONLY had a 1490? Its either the top, 1600, or nothing with me!) and your MEGAR finish at Worlds in your sig.

I don't know HOW you made it through the Enlgish portion of the SAT with that kind of grammar, not saying I don't believe you got the 1490 (techinically I don't) but it does make one think!

BTW: I WON THE STS!!!!!!

PS. This newspaper stuff is great, however just advertising for an event isn't that great. That just gets players out there who already play. It IS a positive step, however. But what we really need is something that will bring in new players! Keep the feedback coming!
