Yeah. They have a report that goes out every year that states the amount of animals they 'destory' when they can't find them homes.

To my knowledge, Pokemon don't have that issue.

Nintendo needs to sue their pants off!
Killing animals the can't find homes, at least we release pokemon back into the wild
Or trade them to someone who wants it

Pokemon kinda can't sue them. Nintendo couldn't sue them after the Mario Tanooki incident. It's called parody. It's also the reason that Square couldn't sue 8-Bit Theater for using their sprites in comics.

Yeah, I've heard something about that too. Apparently they completely disagree with domestication of animals and hate the idea of pets existing. They kill a lot of animals that they take in. A blog online quotes this and it is very true:

"Like hoarders, they believe that most people can’t be trusted with the care of a pet, but rather than keep them under lock and key, PETA simply kills them or advocates for killing them. They, too, are blind to the effects of depriving an animal of its most fundamental right — the right to life."

And here's another quote backing up a previous poster's comment about 95% of animals being killed:

"People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) killed a staggering 95.9 percent of the adoptable pets in its care during 2011."

That is just one of the millions of reasons I will never support them, ever. And demonizing Pokemon is also another. I mean, seriously, has ANYONE here when they were kids ever tried to get their pets to fight each other because of Pokemon? I never even considered it. Pokemon doesn't cause animal abuse. Video games don't make people violent.

I don't think thats a parody though. To me, a parody is suppose to make fun of something while not damaging the brand. To What PETA did was just hateful. What made it worse was their attachment of video showing the poor treatment and living conditions of animals and compared it to Pokemon. I can't really even compare it to a Satire, so thats saying something.

Legal definitions are different from common definitions. Why didn't Nintendo sue over the Mario Tanooki game? Cuz they knew they would lose the suit.

If you don't want this perpetuated, there's one very simple thing you could do.

STOP SHARING IT!

That's not a great example, since Square actually could take legal action against 8-bit Theater if they really wanted to, since it was using actual resources from the game that Square owned. (including selling T-shirts of the unmodified sprites)

Guys.

Guys, it's just PETA.

You know,

People
Eat
Tasty
Animals

That means that Pokemon are tasty, because they are just eating up all these page views.
