Note: This is the only round in which I will do this.

How ca LURING BE BROKEN

2 questions.

1. When does the opening round (this round) end? You've said end of the month, but has your mind changed?

2. Are we allows to provide links to a picture with provided credit? or do we have to describe them?

Thanks in advance

2. Yes, you can use a picture.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Because it does 20 damage for 1 Energy, on a Basic with a restorative body for such Energy, puts the opponent instantly to sleep, and it has a second attack as well, which in retrospect is also broken.

It is now time to start the contest. From this point on, no base cards may be edited.

For this round, everyone will be required to make a Pokémon LV.X for their base card, in addition to any pre-Evolution Pokémon associated with their card. No split evolution lines are required.

If you look at the first page, you will see my own base card, a Charizard. This means that I will make a Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard LV.X. The pre-Evos can be throw-aways.

Charmander LV.5 50HP [R]
BASIC

[Charmander is running across a field, lateral view. The wind is blowing in the opposite direction of Charmander, as can be seen in the tallgrass that Charmander is running through. The pic is zoomed in so that Charmander takes up a fifth of the width of the pic with its length. A mountain can be seen in the distance. The sky is yellow.]

[.] Double Scratch 10x
Flip 2 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.

[R][C] Ember 40
Discard 1 [R] Energy attached to Charmander.

CHARMANDER is known most for its speed. It is capable of running against some of the most powerful winds with its aerodynamics.

W - [W]+10
R -
RC - [C]

Charmeleon LV.23 80HP [R]
STAGE 1 - Evolves from Charmander

[Charmeleon is overlooking a cliff. It is facing away from the picture, and to the left. The canyon below is too deep to see, and the top of the other side cannot be seen, either. A shadow is cast on the canyon wall of a Charizard.]

[R] Burning Flame 50
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Burned. If tails, this attack does nothing.

[R][C][C] Flamethrower 70
Discard 1 [R] Energy attached to Charmeleon.

CHARMELEON has no mercy on its opponents. It will fight until either it or its opponent is down.

W - [W]+20

RC - [C]

Charizard LV.X 150HP [R]
LEVEL UP - Put onto Charizard

[Charizard is flying out of the picture, towards the left frame. Its right wing extends outwards, in addition to the horn on its head. Its left wing remains behind the frame. Charizard has an intense look in its eyes.]

[Poké-BODY] Intense Heat
All damage done by Charizard to any of your opponent's Pokémon is increased by 10 (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

[R][C] Fire Dance 50
Search your discard pile for 2 [R] Energy cards and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon.

W - [W]x2
R - [F]-20
RC - [C][C]

Deadline is next Saturday. Same rubric. Good luck!

Pichu Lv.8 HP 50 [L]
Basic

Picture: A Pichu running playfully into a dark forest. Twilight is just starting to fade into night, and a few sparkles of electricity can be seen where the Pichu had just been.

:ppowr: Baby Evolution
Once during your turn (before you attack), you may put Pikachu from your hand onto Pichu (this counts as evolving Pichu) and remove all damage counters from Pichu.

[.] Hide-and-Seek

Switch Pichu with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. You may search your deck for a [L] Energy card, show it to your opponent, and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon.

Flavor Text: Pichu are the only member of the Pikachu evolution line that can be hurt by their own electricity.

Weakness - [F] + 10

Resistence - [M] - 20

Retreat Cost - [C]

Pikachu Lv.12 HP 60 [L]
Basic

Picture: Two Pikachu looking out from the same forest the Pichu was running into. They are smiling, as if they are about to get into trouble.

:pbody:Static Protection
Pikachu and all cards evolved from Pikachu are not affected by Raichu LVX's Crashing Thunder Poké-Body.

[L][C] Thunder Shock 30

Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponents next turn.

Flavor Text: It loves thunder storms. Often, it can be seen playing among the lightning strikes.

Weakness - [F] +20

Resistance - [M] -20

Retreat Cost - [C]

Raichu LV.X 110 HP [L]
Level-UP Put onto Raichu

Picture: The Rachu is in mid Thunder. Its tail "pops" out of the bottom left corner of the window, spewing "sparks" over the face of the card. Everything is very bright against the dark background, causing the card to have an eerie glow about it.

:pbody: Crashing Thunder

As long as Raichu is your Active Pokémon, put 1 damage counter on each Pokémon that already has damage on it (both yours and your opponents) between turns.

LV.X rule: Put this card onto your Active Raichu. Raichu LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous Level.

Weakness - [F] X2

Resistance - [M] -20

Retreat Cost - None

Smeargle LV.X -90-HP [C]
LEVEL-UP Put onto Smeargle

Picture: We see a Smeargle from close-up holding his tail in his right paw/hand. His head is sticking out of the top-right corner of the frame and his tail is swung out of the picture at the left side of the frame by a sweeping movement of Smeargles arm. With that sweep he has painted an 'S' on the the 'camera' of slightly glowing multi-colored paint. The paint is dripping down the 'camera' out of the bottom side of the frame. The background is very dark with trails of glowing paint over the floor. Smeargle is looking at you from the picture and he has a mischievous grin on its face.

[Poké-POWER] Find Inspiration
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may draw a card. If that card is an Energy card, you may attach that card to Smeargle. If that card is not an Energy card, discard that card.

[.] Random Doodle
Your opponent must call a number from 1 to 10. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage times the number your opponent called to the Defending Pokémon. If tails, this attack does 10 damage times the number your opponent called to Smeargle LV.X.

[C][C][C] Masterpiece
Discard all Energy cards attached to Smeargle LV.X. Take a Prize card.

Level X rule: Put this card onto your active Smeargle. Smeargle LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous level.

Weakness: [F]x2
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: [C]
