Pokémon Kicks off Its McDonald’s Happy Meal Promotion in North America This Summer

(21 yr old guy walks up to Mcdonalds cashier)

Guy: Yes, I would like a Chicken Nugget Happy Meal please.
Cashier: Okay and what will you be having.
Guy: uh. . .

I'm sure glad a have a kid. I have no problem telling others I still play Pokemon but telling someone that I(with emphasis) want the happy meal seems like it would be an akward moment. Either way I hope they are new cards and not a reprint of pre-existing cards.

This is why drive-thrus were invented :thumb:

Seriously though, my parents are sometimes not hungry enough for whatever other options there are, so even they'll get a happy meal sometimes just for something little that has the small fries and drink. Nothing wrong with it.

Chipotle's actually really good for you, as long as you don't load it with sour cream and extra unnecessary stuff. Taste so good too, if I had a snorlax we'd live there.

Anyone else find it funny that McDonalds owned the majority of chipotle until 2006? I do.

Back on topic, I'm not expecting much, but since we have league at McDonalds it'll add some nice flavor. Maybe I'll buy a couple and give them out to the kids.

My guess is that the 12 cards will be the 9 Journey Partner cards, along with 3 other random useless Japanese promos. (alternate artwork Enigma egg cards? the other three T-shirt promos? B&W Zekrom/Reshiam/Pikachu repurposed as promos?)

Why has it taken over 12 years for them to work out something with McDonald's?
Anyway, cool, I hope this brings more people to the game than the Burger King stuff did.

Hm, that lineup of names for the toys. And they're supposed to be figures. Hope they really are something exclusive and not those figures that were offered at the Pokemon Centers at the mall tour locations. I believe that those were the eight Pokemon offered. Then again, those are the go-to eight that are being promoted for just about everything.

Why cant they have these promotions at chipotle or a place where you can eat and stay jacked instead of eat processed trash? :(

Pretty much everything you eat in the US is processed in some way or another.
McDonalds always gets a bad rap for being SO UNHEALTHY, but really it's not much worse than any other burger joint. Do yourselves a favor and if you are going to eat here get chicken instead of beef, substitute fries for something else, and just drink water or some other drink that's not loaded with sugar.

You can eat healthy at these places, it's all about the choices you make. Just limit the amount of saturated fat, sodium, and sugar in your diet, and do yourself a favor and eliminate all trans fats (that usually means no more burgers). Also monitor your carb intake if you don't live an active lifestyle.

I am going to guess that the cards given out are just stamped/alternate foil of the Black/White set like the ones that were given out at Burger King previously...They didn't even have alternate artwork. :frown:

Last time they had the card deal was at Burger King, which is not that much better.

At least in the kid's meal at McDonald's they give you some healthy choices (IE milk instead of soda, and apple fries instead of regular fries).

I did not know you could just buy the toy...

Anybody have pictures of the toys & cards?

If the toys are similar to the bottle toppers from the tins, I might be interested...

Just tried eating at a McDonalds last night, first off they did not have the toys available early (which I figured), and secondly the Fish sandwich make me very sick two hours down the road (to my local friends avoid the rest area on Prospect and i-25 in Fort Collins for a few days). So I guess if I hit any mc'd's it will have to be in the morning to get breakfast (at least the McGriddles don't turn my stomach).

Let's hope information will be posted soon if these promos are set reprints or whole new cards.

They've got that human coupon deal for mcgriddles right now, but do they have breakfast happy meals?

Everything is corn anyway.
