Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

pokemon myths

Blaziken is based on the Japanese word, "ownage." In Japanese mythology, it is rumored that whoever has it combined with the Japanese word for awesomeness, "rayquaza," will win all their games.

I never considered Moltres to be a Phoenix. It's just a burning goose. Doesn't mean it's a phoenix. What would that make Zapdos and Articuno? Why base one off legend and not the other two? They just wanted three elemental birds.

You forget one very important little detail here... Blaziken and Rayquaza are the americanized names ^_~ nice try though.
Blaziken=Bashamo
Rayquaza=Rekuzaa
:p

Blaze Chickens!

And how can we forget the obvious Golem?

Encarta dictionary: Golem (n) In Jewish legend, a creature made of clay and brought to life by magical incantations. (Late 19C, via Yiddish ,Hebrew golem "shape, mass")

these are a few, but correct me if I'm wrong...

Xatu is actually an Aztec god of the sun, i believe.
He is pictured in temples holding the sun with his wings spread out.
I forget his name.

Also, the Charmander family originates from an Egyptian myth (I know this is true).
Everyone should know that it's char(coal) and (sala)mander.
Saying this, Charmander is obviously fire.
The ancient Egyptians believer the salamander is bourne of fire.
It literally emerged out of every fire in ancient Egypt.

Like Golem, Blatoy and Claydol have a great deal with Egyptian history.
They both appeared as monsters in Monster Rancher.
Baltoy is featured in many video games as an Egyptian menace.
I have no idea how he came to be or what his name is, but anyway...

Don't worry, be happy! Don't worry...

Here's a game myth or two to boggle the mind. How to catch Jirachi+Deoxys without sharking. Jirachi you get by going on mirage island when you have all 200 pokemon. Now a meteor crashes and you battle Jirachi or Deoxys (you choose) NOTE: Get Jirachi because if the second myth is true you can get both. Deoxys is found on the least obvious place yeah you guessed it, the moon. how to get there? go to the mossdeep space center. Right when you enter walk strait until you find a scientist he'll tell you a rocket launched and the number that is was. Keep on doing M.E, trades, and battles with friends until the number is rocket 100 then he will ask you to go to the moon with them. There you can catch Deoxys. *not sure if this is all true but im testing*

Actually, that can't be true...since Charmander's original name is Hitokage which literally means "fire lizard" in Japanese. That might be the play on words the translators came up with, but it's not going to necessarily match the original intent of the creators.

I think the second one is false because I've read that code on alot of sites and most of them said different things and usualy if there are alot of different versions of a code it's fake

Please don't take the thread off-topic with electronic games-type discussion; if you'd like to talk about those type of 'myths', please post in THIS topic in the EG forum. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation...

Yeah, but it works for the English name of Charmander, at least.
