You forget one very important little detail here... Blaziken and Rayquaza are the americanized names ^_~ nice try though.JasonthePwnda said:Blaziken is based on the Japanese word, "ownage." In Japanese mythology, it is rumored that whoever has it combined with the Japanese word for awesomeness, "rayquaza," will win all their games.
Actually, that can't be true...since Charmander's original name is Hitokage which literally means "fire lizard" in Japanese. That might be the play on words the translators came up with, but it's not going to necessarily match the original intent of the creators.eI_at10s said:Also, the Charmander family originates from an Egyptian myth (I know this is true).
Everyone should know that it's char(coal) and (sala)mander.
Saying this, Charmander is obviously fire.
The ancient Egyptians believer the salamander is bourne of fire.
It literally emerged out of every fire in ancient Egypt.
BlazeDragon56 said:Here's a game myth or two to boggle the mind. How to catch Jirachi+Deoxys without sharking. Jirachi you get by going on mirage island when you have all 200 pokemon. Now a meteor crashes and you battle Jirachi or Deoxys (you choose) NOTE: Get Jirachi because if the second myth is true you can get both. Deoxys is found on the least obvious place yeah you guessed it, the moon. how to get there? go to the mossdeep space center. Right when you enter walk strait until you find a scientist he'll tell you a rocket launched and the number that is was. Keep on doing M.E, trades, and battles with friends until the number is rocket 100 then he will ask you to go to the moon with them. There you can catch Deoxys. *not sure if this is all true but im testing*
Yeah, but it works for the English name of Charmander, at least.SD PokéMom said:Actually, that can't be true...since Charmander's original name is Hitokage which literally means "fire lizard" in Japanese.
