Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Platinum Released 3/22

Warning: Do not use Rotom alternate forms on wifi against anyone using D/P because your rotom will turn back to its original form and will also lose one of its elemental move. Like today I used Rotom- W and Rotom turned back to its original form and lost Hydropump in the process.

I have strong hatred towards Vespiquen atm (she just downed my Lv66 Golduck). After getting Platinum, there is one major change that pleases me. The +59 to the Pokedex gives a chance to catch a wider variety of Pokemon (allowing them to make some rare) instead of Starlys, Budews, Bidoofus, and Ponytas wherever you go. That is the one reason I haven't played D/P more than once each.

DP had the WORST pokemon selection pre-E4 than any other game imho.

Not to spam but ya I do have to agree..

I think platinum is the best pokemon game I have played since pokemon yellow (come on having pikachu follow you around is amazing!)

Just a thought but maybe in future games we could be able to walk our pokes' around..
It could be used to raise happyness, pick up hidden items, and just be unique!

Me hate Blizzards.

Team is good except for Gallade's pathetic leveling up >_>.

CorRox (Gliscor) is still so amazing, more than ever w/Swords Dance. It took Purugly's Slash to like 12 damage...

61/2 that

Some trainer in the Ice gym uses a steel type, psychic, and a normal type.

Staraptor has such an awesome movepool and his level up moves are close to a standard Starpators moveset. All you have to do is get a Adamant or Jolly nature and your set.

Has anyone noticed that when you run in the Grass at times you will get a brief pause much like you would when you Encounter a Pokemon? But you don't Encounter a Pokemon. I've been messing around in the Eterna Forest building my Pokemon up and have noticed it quite a bit in doing so.

That Giratina fight bored me, I had to restart 2381241234 times because it would Critical hit about 6 times. I was so bored I decided to write a poem. It probably makes no sense but w/e...

The thunder rains down
In an attempt to erase your frown
I slash through the night
To break your spell of fright
I summon attacks from your shadows
Only to bask again in your villainous glow
Your unawakening float
Is only a moat
To prepare
Others feelings of despair
I bring about psychotic slashes
To bring your end in flashes
I throw aimless captures at you
To hear your disgusting moo
Will you accept me?
Will you finally agree?
You awake from your enraged rest
You see me as a pest
You launch your shadow’s force
Looking overcome with remorse
I throw my last one
And pray that you are done
I see it roll three times and die
I sigh
I know you’re diminished
I know it’s finished

Yeah basically, I started with Thunderbolt/punch from Vire so I could Paralyze it.
Gliscor was using Night Slash.
Flareon was using Shadow Ball.
I was listening to the song Unawakening Float, from Sonic and the Secret Rings, which IMO describes Giratina perfectly (And the distortion world).
Gallade used Psycho Cut.
Yeah, in the end I caught it with Bibarel using Yawn spam. Timid nature ftw.

Anyway, move on to actual Platinum stuffz.
Got to Sunnyshore, should be easy enough to beat Volkner, I have a bait and switch planned with Empo and Vire so I can out speed his Pokemon...

Yeah, mine was pretty fun too. Thank heavens Giratina never got any criticals.

T1: Luxray intimidates Tina. 17 dmg from Dragon Claw
T2. Switch to Probopass. 0 dmg from Shadow Force
T3. Switch to Luxray. Intimidates. 12 dmg from Shadow Force
T4. Switch to Probopass. 10 dmg from Ominous Wind
T5. Switch to Luxray. Intimidate. 9 dmg from Dragon Claw
T6. Switch to Probopass. 0 dmg from Shadow Force
T7. Switch to Luxray. Intimidate. 6 dmg from Shadow Force

This keeps going until it is at -6 Attack, everything keeps doing 1-4 damage.

T15. Switch to Glaceon. 2 dmg from Dragon Claw
T16. Sand Attack. 2 mg from Dragon Claw

By T22, Giratina is at -6 atk and -6 accuracy. I begin to lower its health with Flash Cannon. Eventually, T34-ish, it is low enough to catch. I only have 4 Ultra Balls though. They all fail, so I use a Master Ball:lol:

and, Po-Po-Pocchama, where did you get the item that evolves Gligar?

The route between Veilstone and Lake Valor (Azelf's Lake), it's a secret item in the mountainous part of the route, there is a bunch of grass, but in the corner it's missing a patch...click A there.

Plan to 100% finish tonight, possibly restarting for a marathon type thing...

I've already completed the game. The Battle Frontier is actually a nice feature. Battle Arcade is fun to play in.
