Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon TCG Online multiplayer build delayed until 8/22

Hate to say it, but the new program has many more glitches than the old one. So many important cards don't work properly.

To be fair, the "old one" had over 6 months of bug fixes by the point at which it had been shut down. Many of these bugs were found by the community. You guys have had the new version of the game for 15 hours.

I can tell you that it's VASTLY easier for the developer to make fixes in the new client than it was in the old client. After the Trainer Challenge was relaunched, the rapid pace at which bugs were fixed was pretty stunning, after having suffered through Eviolite, Rocky Helmet and Victini bugs for months in the old version.

The reason we're in open beta is so that the community can help point out these bugs. I'd encourage everyone that encounters a bug to follow the procedure outlined in this thread. The forum moderators collect that feedback and send it to the development team on a regular basis and bug fixes are deployed in regular patches (yet another advantage of the downloadable client).

This is the absolute best way to do it. It's great that players can give feedback and get problems fixed faster. There is no way the handful of developers and private testers would ever dream up some of the scenarios 2 random players with 2 random decks would get into.

Has anyone else reported that their downloadable client isn't connecting to the server (after downloading the new one directly from the site)? Mine isn't connecting after two reinstalls.

Does anyone know how to add friends? I found the "Chat" button, but it is unclear what the steps are to add people. Thanks!

How long is TCGO website going to be in maintenance, just noticed it was. However the client is still able to be played.

That may not be a bug caused by the program and just a poor internet connection. I had that problem earlier not being able to connect to the server upstairs in my house. But when i moved downstairs to the living room it work just fine. Later upstairs i just plugged in an Ethernet cable and that fixed the problem for me.
