POP 9 packs?

Why do I need to post a link, it's common sense that whenever a new Pokemon TCG series is released such as Platinum that the Modified format rotates out 4 sets after the 3 sets that came out before the format rotated.

The only exception with the Diamond & Pearl sets was that there was so many that the format needed to wait until a new TCG Series was released such as Platinum thus Modified will consist of 3 sets from D/P and Platinum, not to mention POP 9 as well unless POP 8 will still be in the format.

If you still want a link here it is:

Uh-uh, common sense, yeah, just like the HL-On format becoming DX-On where everyone expected EM-On? Or the DX-On suddenly jumping to HP-On where most guesses were on either DS-On or LM-On? Yeah, common sense indeed.

Still no proof found, only guesswork.

They are definately keeping POP 8. They would never EVER rotate out Rare Candy, it's the one golden card that will never leave format ever.

They could rotate out Rare Candy and bring back Pokemon Breeder in a support form. I doubt they would do it, but anything's possible.

you are right Austino.

They never really have anything good in POP sets. And the good ones that are in, I already have plenty of.

example, 6 POP Gallade.

I don't want DP Dusknoir or Claydol in POP 10. They've had a long enough run. Instead, reprint Furret and Sentret from SW

And then create a card that shuts down all Basic Powers. Furret will rule the world then

People always complain so much about the POP sets. You guys are getting free cards for going to tournaments and league. A lot of people collect and don't go, so they don't have the opportunity to get these cards. I know the sets aren't always playable, but hey, most of the cards are new to us.

So you mean that both POP 8 and POP 9 cards will still be legal for Modified after Worlds 2009 when Modified rotates out is that what you're saying? I thought POP 8 was gonna get rotated out along with Diamond/Pearl, Mysterious Treasures, Great Encounters, and Secret Wonders.

That just leaves Majestic Dawn, Legends Awakened, Stormfront, Platinum, and POP 9 being the only Modified legal cards when the format rotates after Worlds 2009 this coming August I believe. Now unless they throw in POP 8 for MD-On that could be a possibility though.

pop8 came out after legends awakened so it will still be legal after the rotation:thumb:

mmmmmmmmmmmm.......

the pop 9 set....awesomely bad....

hey!!!!
let's give it up for the guys that came up with such a great one!!!!
all props for them!!!!

mmmmmmm.......

not really.....
i'm really dissapointed

only cool thing is garchomp... all the other pokeon are just fun league decks, garchomp would be great if the discard and 10 spread was optional.

I hope my League Leader will give out pop 8 instead of pop 9 instead

Still a free pack though but I really need Rare Candy

Maybe, since POP 8 was so good, they want to lower our expectations for POP 10.

By creating POP 9 and its mostly lame cards, excluding Garchomp, they want us to think that the POP sets suck, so they can create a similar set for POP 10

What Pop 8 are you talking about? Because I only see 2 good cards in Pop 8...

Pop 8 had Candy, Roseanne's, and a decent Heatran. The Basic Dark Energy were nice too, kept me from buying a theme deck to get them.

POP8 had more good cards than that.

Candy.
Rosey.
Night Maintenance (don't discount a good recovery card)
Basic Dark
Basic Metal

5/25 good cards. 20% good cards isn't bad even for a regular set.

I was going to count NM, but most decks only need one anyway. Rosy and candy are tough to come by now, and you need 4 of each per deck.

ok im kinda new to the whole pop packs ( i started wen sf came out) but from what ive seen its highly unlikely that they will put in a lv x have they in the past?

i just dont see it happining. and i hope they come out soon cause my league is running out of pop 8

No they haven't. But they have put EXs and Stars in them in the past, and they were pretty much the equivalent. And your League should be getting them soon (if they don't already have them). I receved my League shipment almost 2 weeks ago.
