Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Post Pokemon Collector Strategy

All I can say is I've been reading Japanese sites/Reports and most of them involve using Callers turn one to fill up your bench. I can even link you but I don't want to get in trouble for it. (Also, this might not be what the pro SD players are doing, but it seems the majority of the players are)

The problem with Japan is much of the info that makes its way on to here is often based off inaccurate and sketchy blogs that were written by parents of juniors. As you pointed our formats when we catch up with theirs are often different, because P!P frequently tinkers with our sets by removing and adding cards that were never in the original Japanese sets.

I wasn't playing back then, but wasn't the format after the year P!P didn't rotate total trash?

No. The second year of DP-on was actually pretty good. There were a variety of playable decks (Evo decks AND Basics).

They just needed a bigger rotation afterwards is all. Too many sets outstayed their welcome in MD-on.

Sure they were.
(Actually IDK if they were, wasn't reading up on Japanese sites back then >.<)
And the format they were 'Dominating on' was different than ours, so that very well may have been true. That would actually be kinda nice.

Seems legit. Has some tournament reports, and a rundown of the Japanese meta. (As far as this person is concerned.) A lot of the reports mention using emolga as an optimal starter to call with.
The cool thing is that this person has info about states from the Top Cut. I guess the Japanese know whats going on over here. >.<

EDIT

Another one would be this-> http://sipcup.diarynote.jp/
I'm pretty sure this is the blog of the contact Esa uses for his Japan articles on his site.

I ment that Goth would still be a bad choice beacuse its a stage 2. I just don't think stage 2's are going to make a magical return anytime soon, as much as I want them to.

Ah that's true, especially with 2 Stage twos if it goes the Gardy route. I forgot we lose Twins :(
