Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Post-rotation BDIF discussion

Remove Lost + Belt = OHKO on Bellossom unless it's belted as well.

Tyranitar has an inherently good time against SPs if the list is solid. Power creep's granted it an obscene 160 HP IIRC, which I'm sorry, means Toxipromo will have issues with knocking it out (three Bat drops isn't always feasible).

Belt against Vileplume ? Or early play on some basic against fast Gengar SF ? LOL ...

Vileplume vs G'dos:

FLOATZEL X

All that needs to be said.

+1, nice, big true IMO ...

Uh, Mac, Dialga can equip that Belt. Read his body.

I'll admit I forgot Dialga, but it won't be easy for SP's to get him out in a deck that isn't focused around Dialga himself.

SP, in whatever incarnation. It's sad for everyone playing Stage 2 as we were already behind, even with Claydol, and now we're just completely boned. But SP loses nothing, and stage 2 loses pretty much everything. ;_;

obviously some will still work to a degree, but no contest, sp will dominate

I'm sorry, did I see someone mention Arceus? I thought we had established that Arceus gets destroyed by pretty much everything, such as Machamp, Jumpluff, T-Tar, Gyarados, Donphan (LOL, no contest), and generally SPs. And something with a trainer lock will kill it bad.

Everyone I've seen lose to Arceus has lost because they didn't know what to do against it. (statement true for myself) or you were using SF Gengar which has no outs against it except getting lucky with Poltergeist

The deck is better than people believe it is but gets wrecked by SP(Dialga) and anyone who has played against it before and knows what to do against it.

I notice we are talking mostly about current decks. I wanna throw out the Yanmega from CATS (clash at the summit), which just needs the same amount of cards in hand as opponent to do 70dmg for free. Personally, I feel it'll be ok. Then I noticed it was grass type. So, I think this will be quick a fight.

Yanmwga prime will definately see play but if this thread just talked about the format after clash of the summit, people would be talking about mew prime and gengar prime all day.

Not better, actually....

*is about to start a war against people that argue without including evidence or reason for what they say*

O RLY, Monsieur Helpful Person?

So... Gengar Prime, a stage 2 (with easily combated attacks, and prolly more useful in the Lv. X, and, overall, prolly won't do anything) beats a combo of Palkia G Lv. X and Lumineon SF or Honchkrow SV or Pighu HS or other similar bench loaders? I personally think flushing 6 pokemon off a bench, with maybe a Absol G Lv. X kicker or something similar, would be a great way to lock and finish off an opponent.

And don't even get me started on Mew unless you want to hear how fun auto-loss to Lost World decks is.

I think that Vileplume has tons of potential for pure annoyance, and it's already been discussed in some decks. I've seen a couple of "VileGar" decks pop up in Deck Help and Strategy, and you can always run it with Bellossom LA (did I spell Bellossom correctly?) GliscPlume is another option, as you can't Spray Shoot Poison with Vileplume in play.

I think that Dialga G will be teched into a lot of decks because of Vileplume, so something Dialga-based like DialgaChomp, or even LuxChomp with a Dialga tech, might become the BDIF.

if you use the name vilegar you must give me credit for inventing the name.

I believe ALL Sp decks will do very well!! And stage 2 decks will HAVE to play Spiritomb to be viable.

Machamp? Of course
Jumpluff? I doubt it will be run - it has serious speed issues now
T-Tar? Easily OHKO'd
Gdos? Fairly even match, but G-dos loses Felicity's, Arceus loses nothing
Donphan? lol, OHKO
Luxchomp? One of its best matchups
Dialgachomp? Winnable, but fairly even

It DID lose to a bunch of Stage 2 decks, but now that they've been slowed down and Luxchomp will dominate, it is a very viable play. Have you faced a decent list?

I believe that we will see the real BDIF at the BR's, because it should be clear what the BDIF is after the Europe-Cup which is short before the BR's....
And the BDIF will be Sablelock or LuxChomp.
For me Sablelock will be the BDIF, because it is so easy to destroy LuxChomps setup with it.

Darkmot.

I can actually see an Arceus deck being actually viable because you can basically one shot anything because you play every weakness. And you can deal solid 80s. And can do 100 if you are behind.

I do not of the good Arceus build that they are talking about, but if I were to play Arceus mine would look something like this.

Pokemon 22
4 Colorless
3 Fighting
2 Grass
2 Dark
2 Fire
1 Steel
1 Water
1 Electric
1 Psychic
1-1 [Some sort of Machamp Counter, but not needed(I would probably use Honckrow SV or Medicham SV)] Or Lucario GL and some other thing...
3 Arceus Level X Omipotent

Energy 15
4 Rainbow Energy
2 DCE
3 Fighting
2 Fire
2 Grass
2 Dark

T/S/S 23
4 Beginning Door
3 Expert Belt
3 Ultimate Zone
3 Professor Oak's Visit
2 Professor Oak's New Theory
3 Pokemon Collector
1 Palmer's Contribution
4 Pokedex Handy 901s
