Prerelease Raichu for Sale

A private collector who owns the largest english pokemon collection has a legitimate PreRaichu. It was sold to him from another collector who owned it in 2009.

And Eric you didn't "waste" money on a sample set. Those cards are much better than the typical stamped english promo's.
 
Well the copy I referred to came straight from mike boser. It was sold to William then sold to David Persin because it wouldn't grade.

Was that the one you thought was not real or was there another rumored copy?

No, I didn't mean that Scott. I meant that there's a bigger English Collection lol;)

Why wouldn't it grade? Is the Preraichu on your wants list?
 
Just thought I would add this in, but here is what the seller responded with when I asked for proof of authenticity:

"Hi sorry about the late reply.

I bought this card in 2008 I paid $4500 for the card. I purchased the card from a wizards of the coast employee. I have documents to prove the card is legitimate and who the previous owner is. a copy of them will be sent to winner bidder.

As for the cards from I collected I still have them Raichu is my favourite pokemon lol I probably shouldn't put out this auction so close to Aprils fools. If you are interested in purchasing this card I'm open to offers.

$4500?? Yeah you wish buddy. The part in bold is because I asked him if this card was the Raichu he bought recently, believing he just added on the 'Prerelease" stamp. So far as I'm concerned, this message only strengthens the case that this card is a fake. Anyone else think he is full of crap?
 
Looks like enough people reported the item as being fake that eBay went ahead and removed it. I tried contacting him twice now (feigning I was still interested in the card), but looks like he is ignoring the messages.
