Pull Rates for Plasma Blast

Hey guys, I work for a card shop in Akron, Ohio and we posted some videos opening a few boxes of Plasma Blast. These are not a great example of the pull rates, because its such a low sample size, but check it out! Should help a bit if you where all wondering.
Also when the set does drop, check back because we will be opening multiple cases and should give you all a very good idea of what the pull rates look like.

i just saw both vids and did some math, the first box will net you around $183 worth of cards you shown and the second $165, (estimate from cards shown). This has taken into account you will sell the bulk and the codes.

this set is looking very profitable and playable. My plans to buy a case solid now.

i looks forward to seeing more vids buy DeriumsCCG. thanks guys!

I dunno about older sets of BW, but Dark Explorers had set rates. One guy on YouTube even cracked the pack art pattern and could pull only Ultra Rares from boxes. He'd go through, take 3 EX and 2 FA I think, then move on to the next box. Then I remember when Dragons Exalted came out people were going on about crazy random ratios. Repeat for BCR, PS and PF.

Actually I did that (except I opened the holo packs too) with Plasma Freeze...

That is if the prices of all the Ultra Rares remain at their current price. Once the set releases, expect a fall on nearly everything.
 
look to get like 3 for ultra balls, 3 for rares, 5 for catchers, then also add the rares that people want, and the new trainers silver bangle and Caitlin, and Iris and yes bulk will be around 15 (per box) then 36 codes will be 15 @ .5 roughly. considering you are opening a case you will get multiple sets of all of he above. at minimum $50 of value i think might come out of 2 boxes. so about $150 from a case is about right from the above.

Of all the cards in this set the most under valued card is Iris, expect that one to rise one the set has been released for about a month, i think its a very playable card.

Sales for most cards will be there highest the first week of release for most cards. i think, Like Bilbo said is very true the prices will fall is very true but, how quickly? and for what cards? I think will gradually occur over the course of a month, enough time to move a couple of cases if you know what your doing.

On the flipside of cards prices falling, which prices for card will rise i wonder? the SR's? rare candy, ultra ball, catcher?
 
Why in the world would catcher rise in price? Never.

Ultra Ball will stay at $2-$3 I'm sure.

Bangle and Mirror will rise. I'd value at $2 each, and I'm sure people will need them, and they aren't auto pulls. Hard to get.
 
i would even go as far as 3 dollars, i'v notices 2-3 of a uncommon being pulled per box. so avg that at the lowest to two

uncommons
$2 X 6 = $12 for ultraballs (low balling it)
$4 x 6 = $24 for catcher (low balling it)
$2 x 6 = $12 for iris
$1.5 x 6 = $6 juniper
$2 X 6 = $12 for bangle
$2 x 6 = $12 for Caitlin
$3 x 6 = $18 for rare Candy


36 codes at .45 = $16.2 X 6 = $96

320 (low ball) uncommon/commons at .035 = $11.20 x 6= $67.2

12 + 24 + 12 + 6 + 12 + 12 + 18 + 96 + 67= $259

case for most people will cost around 520?

to make that you simply sell the holo rares/ rares + 11 EX's + 8 FA's + 2 SR + 6 ace specs (low balling)

ex avged to $14.33
Fa avged to $22.66
Sr avged to $23.75
ace spec avged to $4.25

netting ( 411.43)

everything here has been low-balled so at minimum you should make your money back

almost from my calculations its going to be at minimum of a 9% return ad scaling it up to it max i calculated a 50% return, which is about $250.

everything has just been estimated and is of course not exact, and simply is for discussion.

Well I hope I get some decent cards at the upcoming August 4th Austin area Pre-Release!
If anybody else is going to it from Pokegym, look for my name on the Masters list...
 
Im just saying... Once everyone gets THEIR box... You wont get $400 worth of cards. Need I to recall N from:)NV that started at $5 and withing a day dropped to $0.50
 
In your opinion what do you think the estimated time of saturation will be, where you see a 5 dollar card become .50 cent? i think it will be about a month to be at 50% then 75% at 1 1/2 and so on.

realistically you goal should be to liquidate asap to get maximum profit.

Pretty crappy box if you ask me. But I knew that going in.

Guess that's Pokemon for you. Balancing out the amazing week I had previously.
 
^From that side event, an additional 4 people joined. One person pulled an ex.

So in total, out of 120 packs (3 1/3 boxes), only 1 ex was pulled. Great.

Not really that shocking, you didn't open that many packs. ::tongue: Especially since all of the good cards in this set are in packs one after another. It's been that way every single time from what I've seen. Also, the pulls in general have been sketch at best. Plus, you got RIDICULOUS pulls at the last one it seems:

Nice pulls though! Jealous of those Virizion/Genesect I'm going to have to fork over the money for. Was hoping to acquire at least 1 more of the 2 after a couple Pre Releases. Oh well!


Here are the pulls so far that we've gotten. I unfortunately haven't gotten some of the crazy pulls mentioned here. I'm not certain whether or not we'll go to the one next week. I'm already kind of over pulling stuff for this set since the trainers are reprints and the other supporters aren't great. Singles, here we come!

We've opened 63 packs now the past two weekends, pulls haven't been that fantastic. (I traded for the FA Iris and 2 Scoop up Cyclones :\)

1x Secret Rare Rare Candy (About spit up my drink when I saw her pull this one, figured it was a myth, I opened a case of Plasma Freeze by the end of the set, but not all at once, and only got ONE secret rare LOL)

1x Jirachi EX FA
1x Virizion EX
1x G-Booster Ace Spec
1x G-Scope Ace Spec
10x Pokemon Catcher (A ludicrous amount compared to pretty much anyone else I've talked to, super lucky. We pulled 8 in one Pre Release and only 2 today. Hah.

Random pulls are random, I've seen 2 junipers out of 63 packs, but I saw people with 3-4 in their decks. Funny how pulls work.
I probably won't purchase any boxes or a case of this set like I had originally planned. Singles all the way for sure. During our draft one box had ZERO EX's and just two Ace Specs that were pulled in back to back packs. One kid did get 4 EX's over the course of the day though. Hax IMO

At my prerelease our box was terrible:
1 Virizion EX Regular
1 Genesect EX Regular
1 Scoop Up Cyclone

What a terrible box. 2 EX and an Ace Spec seems terrible to me.
 
Went to a PLB prerelease today. Only got a Genesect EX FA and 1 holo. D: But my brother got all the good stuff. He got:

G Scope
