Racine, WI (Very 1st) CC 1/20/2007!!!!

I just want to make the preregistration guidelines clear. For those that preregister before Jan. 19th, they will all be eligible for the bonus raffle, which is a nice prize by the way. You need to be present as well on the day of the tourney (of course).

Hey everyone,

Another update as the Racine CC is approaching. There will be a location change for the event to make the whole tournament go by smoothly and provide everyone with enough space to have their match, instead of being all cramped. Don't worry cuz you won't have to go far, instead it will only be across the street. I'll provide the the new address info as soon as I get everything all cleared up, but if some of you forget about the location change, don't worry because I'll have signs up at the store and outside. Have a good time this weekend at a CC nearby and get pre-registered...or else you miss out on that bonus raffle!!!

abe was talking about having a SSBM tournament there too. Are any rockford players interested in playing in it? I would try setting it up myself but I don't have a gamecube or SSBM. I think he has one of each so we would be fine, and maybe enough controllers.
 
I'm pretty sure a couple more of our players will be there too... BigginZZZ, James F and Justin H (the traveling trio :wink: ) I'll send you all of their info to preregister them. Sorry I can't make it Abe... same night as my hubby's Christmas Party, and it's quite a big event that we're pretty much expected to go to. But I'll be thinking of you all there and hopefully my peeps will keep us updated by phone when our Rockford players win their medals! :clap: :thumb:

That being said, where's the love, SugaMama? Nobody from TIY coming down for the Fighting Illini CC?
 
Well, Racine's pretty close, but I wouldn't rule out 'the traveling trio'... but they did have some bad weather luck making them get back a day late from CCs last weekend, so I'm sure weather will be a factor for them, especially with it being on a Sunday. I'll send ya prereg info if I find out anyone's going for sure Ryan.

Which reminds me Abe, I'll find out today who's going for sure and get their info to ya.

GL to the 15+ guys. "Elite Four" , Team Winsconsin, and a few members of Lafonte will most likely be there.

Not sure we can have a SSBM tourney because its too last minute but if your interested, you might be able to work something out with the peeps at the store and other players as well. I probably will be too busy with the CC and side event to set that up.

Anyway, the side event is modified in case you are interested and prizes will be based on how many players join in, so hopefully we get enough to get a good prize pool going. Of course they will be DF packs, so just in case there are people who are curious what the prizes will be. I think I will have that going right before top cut.

Finally, as I stated earlier, in order to provide more space for everyone, the event has moved! Not far though, like I said..the new location is right across the street at 2100 Taylor Ave. We will be renting the hall room space for the event and I hope everyone will be good sports and respect the place as it is a church building and since we will be using part of the area, I wouldn't want them to think we pokemon players are horrible people..lol :biggrin:

The store will have refreshments and other stuff to sell, but in terms of food, if you would like to know of any restaurants or fast food places, PM me...I'll try to be as helpful as possible and let you know where foods all at. There is a mall nearby as well, in case people feel like shopping or checkin out the food court. Well, I can't wait, this is gonna be a fun event and I hope everything runs smoothly. I will be taking pics of the event and posting them after with my new camera as well!

Ya, Sure it was Chris! :wink: (Oh and don't worry, there'll be another SSBM tourney coming up soon enough :biggrin:)

And Abe I hope your first event there is First Rate Fun for you!! :clap: Look forward to hearing all about it and seeing lots of pics!

Oh, and don't forget to put in a plug for Bullados' CC in Urbana on Sunday too! He's excited too!

well we r gauranteed goin to Racine but.....i wuld have to find a ride
to Urbana Il i gotta call a few people and ask around for a ride.........
i think i will go...hopefully.....it will be cool to hit these last 2 cities in our area.........!
