Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

RockBand - How will it do in DP-on?

I have been doing very well with it. I almost made top cut at a Battle Roads with it. One thing that is has major problems is with the Pixies. Also I don't call it RockBand, my version is called "Flight of the Bumble Bee" named after the annoying ring tone.

This deck got its behind handed to it at one of my BRs by my friend Tran,it lost to everything and he beat me in finals the day before so I know he plays well.

It has problems with most everything really. Its not consistent on starts and it just needs to wait for Stormfront.

Unless the deck I'm building has a fighting chance against Beedrill I don't use it. Drill is a great deck to test against as it's fast, strong, and fairly simple to play. It's a very strong play in play and will only get better with Stromfront.

Along with Beedrill, Bellossom also needs some consideration; you get 10 more HP, but need 1 more energy to attack and retreat. However, Bellossom also has that "split evolution" aspect like G&G, in that Gloom can evolve into either Bellossom or Vileplume. Granted, I don't think Vileplume is as great (not even the old poison standby Psychic-type, which could help VS fightning decks and whatnot), but it's still an option.

Bellossom's attack also I think is slightly better; guaranteed minimum of 60, with the potential for up to 120 (barring Garchomp Lv X) is great, all with essentially the same requirements as Beedrill in that you need Bellossoms or Vileplumes out. In contrast, Beedrill only does 30x the Beedrill in play, meaning it ranges from 30-120, and doesn't outdamage Bellossom at any point.

I've added a TSD and WOW it helps. In all of my BR games in which I've used it I flipped 2 out of 3 heads and in one game it was TSD that won me the game. Also would you guys like me to post my version of Speedrill?

I haven't seen it top cut yet. The downfall is that you can take down a Beedrill and the retaliating attack is weakened/lessened by the absence of that beedrill.

i.e. 3 beedrils = 90. You knock out 1.. the NEXT beedrill hits you back for 60.. you're still alive, so you clear THAT one too... the guy necros one beedrill and hits back for only 60. It's like Kingdra sized damage that you have to work VERY HARD to maintain...

Even if you let them get to 4 beedrils = 120 damage, you can knock one out and sacrice to the 90 hp counter attack then take another down so he's back to only doing 60.

King of Magikarps can REALLY run this deck. It's his specialty. So, I've seen what the deck can truly do (turn 3 build to 3 Beedrils + a claydol ... 4 beedrils on turn 3... was amazing... )

The deck need all 4 beedrills to OUTGUN the stage 2s and/or a good back-to-back Mesprit attack.

KOM doesn't lose matches to average players. So, the deck is a Tier 2 IMO (especially when run by him)

I'm not certain it's going to win a Nats or anything though.

But that's my opinion based only upon what I've seen...

I'm trying to compare the Beedrill VS Bello/Vill.... Which Gloom & Oddish do you guys use... the Grass or Psychic?

came third at a br with drill (masters). my build was a bit ... 'special' but still i think it was the best way to play the deck.

i ran like:
4 dex
4 quickball
4 victory medal
4 pokeball
4 falicity's

thats sort of how it worked out.
i know pokeball seems random, but i kept drawing dead with dusk/radar in testing... which annoyed me alot.
