My main problem with set up is Getting the LvX on turns 2/3. Personally, this is why I think a Premeir Ball or two is a good play, and therefore I think Azelf LvX is a good play (if you already run the regular version).

definitely. if u throw in the premier ball no reason to toss in an unexpected Azelf Lv X only problem is u gotta hope u got that multi so hold it

i'd run 1-1 azelf X and 1 psychic energy. should work. remember than when you play azelf LA you rearrange your prizes so you know where that 1 psychic energy is. =)

Keep it clean or infractions will be handed out. I had to delete some of the rude posts. Don't have it happen again.

I myself would take out 2 fighting and the psychic for 3 multi energy

Why would Multa ever be needed? For Venomoth which 2 multi's would counter each other? For Mime that has a worthless attack? For Shuckle which having regular grass energy makes no difference to the build? Multi is only good with 3 different types, or 2 types with a double specific cost for an attack.

I dunno man, if you actually want Azelf to attack the psychic might have already been used on a different pokemon. (and dude I was up at like 3 in the morning when I posted that)

But seriously I can't see this deck being consistant enough. Too many bad starts. I played s Glidcor/Shedninja with 2 darkrai MD techs just yesterday and that was just fine. With this deck you could start with unown Q Shuckle or the typical baltoy start and probably getdestroyed by Kingdra. You might say kingdra never hits gliscor but when you are facing a T1/T2 kingdra to your gligar start you might want to change your deck. I have played 1 game against this deck and it only took 2 prizes. a Skilled player can easily win the match-up if he uses his warps wisely. And against spread/snipe decks the deck fails because they are hitting the Gliscor either way

However the good side of the deck is that not everyone will play kingdra because the format is so open. It should definitely beat AMU, even with the leafeon tech.(terribad) It should beat Gyrados/MothBallz variants. I don't know how it would fair against Torterra Sceptile since they can lv.UP and take away the special conditions and they have massive HP but it would be interesting.

Overall

deck: 7.5 - 8/10
article: 9/10

Speed Wrath with FR techs is about the same as Kingdra in damage essence as it can hit for 60 really fast and keep the beatings on, and I've had very little trouble dispatching Wrath, so I honestly don't see how Kingdra is any different, especially with Lopunny keeping the spread off and Mime soaking the hits.

Wrath is actually a harder match, because unlike Kingdra, it actually has a second attack that can get around Mime, which makes it a bigger threat, Kingdra has to waste 3 energy just to use its one energy attacks, which turns it into a much less useful attack.

I'm not afraid of Kingdra. Theres nothing about it that even remotely impresses me, seeing as I've seen a Wrath deck and a Kingdra deck, and the Wrath was far superior. Oh yeah, and this was a shameful bump.

woah man why are you bashing yugioh players and calling us netdeckers
in case you dont know almost everyone played gardevoir gallade last season of pokemon just like how most people play gladiator beast in yugioh

When you think about it, they really aren't.

HP Level:

Wrath: 130
Kingdra: 130

Attacks:

Wrath: Vanilla 60 damage for 1 fighting energy, FP problem negated by Mantine. 2nd attack, vanilla 90 for 3 (gets around mime)
Kingdra: 40 damage for 1 water energy, required 2 discard to hit 60, plus 20 snipe. Free Upstream like attack for water only energy.

Retreat:
Wrath: Can have and requires free retreat. 2 Normal.
Kingdra: 1 retreat, un-needed. But can have.

Any additional things:

Kingdra: Can snipe, but has a hard time dealing with Mime. No resistance, weak to lightning.
Wrath: Cannot snipe, can guerilla and play with Politoed. No resistance, weak to lightning.

Both decks also tech typical claydol. Both have 60 damaging attacks that can't go through mime, and Wrath is plain out faster, longer. Watch that it will become the black horse of this format and win a few BR's.

Because yugioh players have a tendency to talk trash about better games.

Austin, ignore the troll. Thats only gonna bring the topic's quality down.

Though really, he only proved my point by proving he was talking trash about superior games.

I'd continue this yugioh rabble, but seeing as this is a deck list thread and not a playground for your silly and biased arguments, I won't bother.

Anyway, about Wrath, I'd like to test it. If they have 2-3 Wraths out, I have them hit Shedinja for some spreading fun.

Didn't consider Shedinja in that matchup.. Thats actually a pretty good idea to further place the hurt on.

my completely unbiased opinion: yugioh is a better game, pokemon is a better community. i choose friends over how good the game is, so i go with pokemon. plus, i grew up with pokemon (watching the tv show, playing the video games) so naturally i'm gonna go with it. but seriously can we leave this be? i hope i don't get bashed for this.. -_-

anyway, i was wondering what people's opinions are on darkrai? i might take him out.
