Serperior Tank

I saw BlastGatr being mentioned in this thread, and I too have been trying to put together a good Serperior deck. My suggestion to you is the UD Vespiquen. It's ability prevents all damage done to benched Pokémon by opponent's attacks. It's an extra space being taken up on your bench, but it's as good as a Bench Shield.

That's what I was thinking of well.
Lots of time to set up, but you have: 2 Royal Hearls on Bench, 1 UD Vespiquen, and 1 Metapod. Active is your choice of Serperior.

Possibly, but it's not protecting Reuniclus. And TBH, I'd rather add in a 1-1 Umbreon and take out a grass Energy for a Rainbow. Protects you from Magnezone, Machamp Prime, Scizor Prime and BlastGatr.

Hmm. Interesting idea. As a tanking deck, it would help my survivability. I was also thinking of teching in a 1-1 line of Zoroark for those pesky Emboar matchups.
Which Emobar? The 150 damage one?
That is quite annoying (my bro has the Theme Deck) and Zoroark seems to be a very good answer.

The only Good Emboar...the one w/the Ability to add Fire Energy as often as you want.

No, the 150 damage one. Right now, I am unsure of how to deal with the other one though.
Btw, what do you guys think about adding in some Black Belts and Pokemon Catchers next set to pick up free prizes?

Shouldn't you use at least 1 Double Colorless Energy for your Zoroark? And about the Smeargles, what if the opponent doesn't have any good Supporters or no Supporters at all? Wouldn't that just be a free prize card for your opponent?

Yes, he/we should.
HOWEVER, if I look at the ruling for Zoroark in the "Ask the Rules Team" board, you would have to discard the DCE.

I am almost certain that my opponent would run AT LEAST 1 Supporter; I have never seen a deck that didn't use any. Btw, if the opponent does have a good Trainer engine, then they would at least try to set themselves up with something good. I have thought about adding DCE, but I have nothing else to take advantage of that, so I would rather just load it up with grass energy.

Ah. Okay that's understandable. I still personally don't Smeargle for some reason... I like to use Tropius more.

But you would only have to discard the DCE if it says discard energy. As far as I know, you don't have to discard if it says to discard specific energy though.

@Zorua
The free Smeargle KO isn't actually that bad since he runs Twins.
IMO, I don't like using any starter, but I should really consider Smeargle and test it out a bit.

Here's what I fear of using Smeargle's Power. JUNIPER!

It's the only Supporter card in the hand, you look back at yours, and crud you destroyed your chances.

But, we're just using it to stall, right?

That is not necessarily true, you know. There are worse starters than Smeargle. For example, I could just not use any at all. Now that Juniper is in play, I just have to play smarter.
