Hello again Shinning Hunters!

Well after 16 hours of long patience and determination, I finally caught shinning zapdos!
Two down and many more to go! Anyway, ~Blazi-King~ and I are currently in a
legendary shinning contest to see who can catch all the legendary shinnings
(minus the legendary dogs) first. Even I'M not that CRAZY to try and find the
legendary dogs shinning! Yes, this contest includes shinning Jirachi! You think I'm crazy,
but this is what a true shinning hunter does! Anyway, I'll repost after
I catch my next victum, Shinning Articuno! Anyway, until then!

LOL, i got a shiny Spinda in Sapphire. It was in my sis' game so i had her catch it and trade it to me.

Anyways, I met a ditto, didnt pay attention till after it transformed into my pidgeotto. when it did, I coulda sworn the pidgeotto looked lighter, so I caught it. Then I found out I was just seeing things, it wasn't shiny. Darn.
 
This may have been asked before. If so, Im sorry for bringing it back up

When I select my first pokemon (Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charmander), is there a chance that it will be a shiny, kind of like how there's a chance that it could be female? If so, what is the chance? I ask this because I saw the picture of a Shining Charizard and, IMO, its the most beautiful thing i have ever seen *drools*

Yeah, you can get a Shining Charizard. It's very hard to get shinies though. You might have to restart your game over about 200 times before you get a shiny
 
For shiny legendaryes you can't just restart your game until you get one that's shiny. A shiny legendary is pre set in to your game you can't change it normally. Ihave heared the eon ticket can reset your shiny legendaryes in rs. I don't know if any of this is true this is only what I've heard

The Latios in Ruby and Latias in Sapphire are the only preset Legendary Pokemon.
(Unless Suicune, Raikou, and Entei are in Fr/Lg)
 
yes the 3 dogs are in fr/lg, but you only get one it depends on the starter you chose. below are the matching starters with the dogs.

bulbasaur-entei
charmander-suicune
squirtle-raikou
 
In FR/LG you can always see a Shiny Espeon when you're doing Trainer Tower/Battle Tower. I'm wondering how in the world did that trainer get a Shiny Eevee!
 
Not that hard, Eevee234. Just save next to the pokéball that contains eevee. If it's not shiny, try again 'till it is.

50% chance to get it -> log (1-½) / log (8191 / 8192) =5677.915.... -> ~5678 times
90% chance to get it -> log (1-0,9) / log (8191 /8192) =18861,625.... -> ~18862 times

(1-(8191 / 8192)^200)*100 = 2,4% chance
(1-(8191 / 8192)^4598674598654)*100 = ~100%

well....200 is closer that that 4598674598654 as you can see...
