i played skittles up at the southhampton champs and went 2-2 beatting two magmorter dacks and then got beat by gadellade twice but i wasnt runnig any claydols and i think if i was i could of got into the top four quit easily. i was impress to beat two acrh type decks. and it was only bad drawing that let me down agaisnt the gady deacks. it can win but it dose need claydol to keep the steam going.

Cessation Crystal. PLOX uses it to free up other attacks and attackers like Gallade without breaking the "power lock" ... yeah windstorm, patchi, warp-point, or whatever as a counter but you have to have those in hand or be willing to loose a prize to get rid of a cess when they can just start attacking with Garde again next turn. Even if they get one free bring down or sonic blade under Cess it can be game altering.

IMHO the biggest counter to PLOX is early speed ... put the pressure on THEM to respond ... and then make sure that you have plenty of counters in your deck. It's nice if you keep it in hand but odds are reasonable that they will try to wager you before playing the cess.
