Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

So, is SableDonk really going to ruin BRs?

And if you didn't win the coin flip you're also done. I thought Naki meant impersonating a Collector but yes, still relies on good draw AND a coin flip win so my argument still stands. :p

You fail to realise you don't always need Collector. Bebe's Search can also tutor a Mesprit, plus you have the possibility of having someone else benched to lower the possibility of a donk, and with numerous chunky pokemon in the game still, that should also give you a hand.

All you need is a way to get to Mesprit and you've shut down their donk.

Also, no. I'm not impersonating. If anything, I'd attempt to collector/bebe's, then Impersonate for a Judge or an Initiative to really just ruin your day.

I'm not predicting it to be that big of a deal. Serious players skip battle roads to preserve their ratings, the remaining players don't have access to the cards/don't know about it... so you will have a few jerk faces bored enough to "play to win" at a Battle Road - at least that's what I'm predicting.

Really did you just use the term "jerk face" and say that only bored players play to win at Battle Roads?

I predict the best players will use Sableye. We have only battle roads to prove a rotation is needed. In fact, I encourage everyone to use Sabledonk. The more illegitimate, the better.

The mere act of playing Sabledonk didn't make a person a jerk, but this certainly would. I considered doing this for the fun, but a lot of people are probably going to never forgive and never forget.

iDonk (Sableye Donk) can ruin any given BR even if it fails to win that event. Say 8 of 32 folks at a BR run it. That's roughly 8 games out of 16 each round that are decided T1 ... probably more since LuxChomp, Gyarados, and other decks are better at T1 donks now too.

That sounds like the most fun BR ever, right?

Sableye will become the MVP at Battle Roads, followed by Spiritomb. It's would be a shame to compete at Nationals with a format that pretty much mandates loading up on one or both of these starters because they dictate how the game will go.

SableDonk will not ruin BRs. Instead, it will allow us to get all our swiss rounds done before lunch. J/K.

And what does that have to do with Sabledonk? Nothing you just listed has over 70 hp, and you run a low basic count, so it'll be like THE BEST donk target ever.

I have every intention of playing HateZone for the spring BR: 4 Zekrom, 3-3 Magnezone, 4 Spiritomb, possibly some Yanmega and load up on the disruption. Its SP matchup will not be impressive (but not be too terrible) but it will be VERY difficult to donk, so should at least get to play its games. It really depends what I expect to see at BRs.

So many people are saying bunches of us need to play Sabledonk to prove a point to TCPi. I wouldn't be surprised if those people, who hated Sabledonk openly, now just want to justify to others why they'd give it a go.

I don't really trust that reasoning. Everyone play Sableye to enact an early format change? While you're at it, why don't you prove to your local government you need more funding for your fire departments by burning down half your town.

To add insult to injury, it's a mediocre list.

Lol, I sig'd that.

I also find it more amusing when you win a coin flip against Sableye with your own Sableye and then Pokemon Collector a Mesprit.. Oh whoops, no more Crobat G/Uxie. I'll just set up now, thanks.

lol, that's what i'm doing, i'm playing Spritomb/Sableye and i think i do that like every game :p

I hope everyone remembers that they need 4 victory medals to have a successful Sabledonk. Just sayin'
Im playing Emboar/Reshram with Spiritomb start.

In a normal Sabledonk deck, 4 Victory Medal would be played. But in an anti-Spiritomb deck, they can be left out since space is so tight due to the anti-Spiritomb cards (1 Regice, 1 Unown Dark, 4 Pokemon Collector).

This is a sample Sabledonk anti-Spiritomb deck:

18 Pokemon
4 Uxie
4 Sableye
4 Unown R
3 Crobat G
1 Regice
1 Unown Q
1 Unown Dark

40 T/S/S
4 Pokemon Collector
2 Seeker
4 Poke Turn
4 Super Scoop Up
4 Poke Drawer
4 Dual Ball
4 Pokedex
4 Junk Arm
4 Poke Blower
3 Pokemon Rescue
2 Expert Belt
1 Luxury Ball

2 Energy
2 Special Dark Energy
