Southeast Regional Championship - Greensboro, NC 4/21/07

Probably last post till Sat since we are getting ready for the BIG DAY!!!

Just found out last night we will have a special guest from PUI on Saturday!!!

Forgot to add the additional prizes that PUI added a few weeks ago:
9th Place through 16th Place
• A combination of 9 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions

Even better than last year when it was top 8...PUI you ROCK!!!

Why am I being tortured like this! Maybe I should start my project I have due tomorrow. :redface:
 
David T just pointed out something I missed. The Rochester draft will be 6 packs instead of 5 and $18 per person. Thanks David!!!

Just heard that the hotel is now booked with the exception of possibly king bed room(s). Also no discount since the block of the rooms is gone.

Anyone still looking for hotels there are Motel 6 in Greensboro (6 miles away), Ramada Inn in Burlington (15 miles away), and Daystop in Whitsett (10 miles away) to name a few. All these are between $36 - $55 for 2 double beds.

ok.. i heard from my friends that some crazy decks were winning down there.. any idea who won top 3 in all age divisions and the decks they were using?

I will not post the decks of winners, but the T16 in Masters had a HUGE variety of decks, including (in no particular order)...Bandoom, Flygon, Shiftry (CG), Scizor EX. Meg d, WobbyJynx, Meta and others. I think there were no more than 2 of any single deck in there, and most were just one.

PS The young man who had the seizure came back and was doing much better. He even remembered what card he was playing when he fell over, that he was ahead on prizes and had a great chance to win the game to go to 2-0. Everyone handled the situation well and got medical attention for him as fast as we could.

PROPS the Jeff and David for running a great event! I will staff for you two anytime! (Of course, the wives help alot too!)
