Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Southern California Regionals

What time is everyone going to Regionals?
By the way, who's bringing their laptop as I will be upgrading my report and using computer webcams with Edmund.

Question for staff, How long can this one? I heard States ended around 1 am but just kind of wondering how long the entire tournament will go on to

sorry, but there's no way of knowing how long the tourney will last right now, as the number of rounds will depend on the number of players. juniors and seniors will almost certainly finish before masters.

well...remember that ALL regionals are on the same day; it's essentially 'census day' for OP ;)

and there is a no. cal. regional, so players who came down from no. cal. for states will likely not be there. those numbers may be made up by players from AZ and NV, though...it's just hard to predict.

In case we do have a large amount, does the tournament keep carrying on? Or is there a time where a 2nd day would be declared.

Ex) 312 Masters still going on at 3 am with 4 rounds left.

Keep going or next day?

no idea, as the situation has never come up before at a regionals, much less at nationals or worlds :) it would be up to the PTO and OP, i'm sure...

to my fellow player im looking for 3 cards does any one have them? 2 ninetails HSSG, unknown G for trade. PM if you have and will talk about the deal

SD Pokemom or others TOs,

Does anyone know if it is possible to register several kids while they are not there yet?

Here's the deal. I wanted to bring 4 kids who all have volleyball in the a.m. and they would get there about 10:30-10:45.

I realize registration closes at 9:50 or so and the tournament is supposed to start at 10 a.m. (although in my limited experience these big tournaments start closer to 11 a.m.). If I came early (when registration is open), registered them and brought them by 10:30-10:45 and the tournament hasn't started (say until 11 am), I assume we lucked out and they could play. If the tournament does start at 10 a.m. and they are not there, are they DQ'ed? Or do they take a first round loss? Or don't even bother trying to do this b/c its unfair to others, will give the TOs a major migraine, etc.?

I realize this situation isn't optimal, but any advise is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

to get a definitive answer about registering players not on-site, you'd need to talk to the TO.

i can say that a player who no-shows gets a game loss AND is dropped from the tournament if they are not there by the end of the round. players dropped for missing a round cannot be added back into the tournament if/when they return, as the tourney software will not allow it.

if you don't think they'll make it in time it may be better to attempt to register late when they arrive and take the round one and/or two loss(es) rather than risk the drop for missing round one completely.
