Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

St. Louis Area Cities...Sanctioned and Confirmed

I was rather dissappointed with the turnout! Where was everyone??

Was this a deciding factor in where our states will be held??

Um, yes, it was a deciding factor on States, I will be honest.

States will be in Eureka at the new location.

With 35+ more people there, I have NO IDEA why people weren't going to St. Peters.

Weather was NOT a factor.

Vince

awwwwww i do not know what happened in St. Peters. There is usually alot of people. =(

How About Everyone In The Stl Area Give A Happy Birthday Shoutout Today To The Man That Brings You His Pasion For This Game!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Vinny!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we are getting close to Christmas... I suspect that if the St. Peters tournament was held earlier in the season, it would have had a much higher turn out. Perhaps attendance was low because people were either out shopping or attending other holiday events. Sophie skipped a party with her scouting troup, and for the first time in 10 years, I skipped my company's holiday party. Well, at least Sophie and I have our priorities straight

Happy Birthday Vince!!

-Matt

Thanks to all for the well wishes and for Sophie and Matt having their priorities straight!

2 days until the rumble at the Mills.

Vince

Thanks! Thanks! Feels good to get support from another POWER PIGLET supporter!

We have an event tomorrow guys! Look forward to seeing you ALL there!

Vince

So who all from St. Louis/Rolla/Springfield/Illinois are coming to Sedalia?
I give hugs to whomever shows up:)

YAY, I just made colin's day:p

OK, you Pokemon People ROCK.

We had room for 32 players on Saturday, and we had 49, yes 49 players up at Animagination on Saturday.

And this is with a few "regulars" retreating to Springfield.

Major Kudos to Chad B and his gang from the "new league in town" Look for OP to be starting there soon.

Major Kudos to the Animagination store (Sam) and staff for working with us to make this a go! I am looking forward to the "restart" of the league on January 17th. We WILL make it work this time! This is THE place in town for Japanese plush, and other cool items.

We are off until Evansville, Indiana on January 3rd (road trip anyone?) and then down to GameNite on January 10th to finish it all off!

We had a top 4 in Junior, and Congratulations to Riley and Aiden for making the cut, and to Aiden for making the finals...

Alex took it for his 2nd medal, had to beat Dema (the monster Junior player) in the T4!

We had a top 2 in Seniors, and....a NEW winner! Timmy B over Andrew K in a GREAT set of matches! Congrats to Timmy on your first win, and getting through a full field of Dylan, Heather, AJ, Zak, Andrew, and Brian...all those power players, and we STILL only had a T2!!!

Masters we had Newman go for his 2nd Medal in a game over a new finalist....Brandon H....the other B brother gets into the final match....a bit odd for Brian to have his brother in the final instead of him, but it was truly cool to see Brandon shoot in the event!!!

Mike and Jason, GREAT job judging...

Thanks to all! Great event!

Vince

Happy Holidays, and a big THANK YOU to all of my stores, players and judges who have come out to our first 6 cities.

We have had 298 participants so far! That is UNBELIEVABLE!

One Area Player (Zak) has 4 medals

One KY Player (Jayson) has 3 of our medals

Dema, Alex, Newman each have 2 medals

Other medals won by Timmy (1st ever!), Andrew, Sophie, Chris L, and Colin!
So a total of 10 medalists with one event to go!!!

The judges have been great! Especially the new people stepping up (and getting stuck with either a 28 player division on their first day...or...12 juniors on the floor!!!)

I am really thankful for the whole group in St. Louis. This (2008) has been a great year, and I am looking forward to bigger and better things in 2009!!!!

States, Regionals and Nationals all in the STL!!! WOOT AND CHAW!!!

Thank YOU Vince, for such a wonderful 2008!

I'm definitely looking forward to 2009 Pokemon in St. Louis, it certainly is the place to be if you're a Pokemon player =D

~Colin

Vince,
I would like to say thank you on behalf of the Rolla Team. We definitly enjoy the competition that St. Louis provides. You have wonderful players in your area! Thank you so much for allowing me to step up and judge! We would have gone to Animagination but Springfield called for us on that Saturday, and Mountain Grove on Sunday. We are attending Sedalia this coming Saturday and then our very own the Saturday after Sedalia. See ya at States!!!
PS: I got the package!! He loved it and thanks so much!!!
