Add fossils. They'll stabilize the deck and still allow you to power up first turn. It just gives you the option of not starting with a squirtle. Example:

4 squirtle
4 blastoise -ex (Your goal, as stated, was to get out a t1 blastoise -ex...I believe you yelled rather nastily at someone who suggested otherwise...therefore, why are you running wartortle at all?)
Total: 8

Trainers:
4 Root Fossil
4 Claw Fossil
4 Rare Candy
4 Great Ball
4 Steven's Advice
4 Pokeball
4 Pokenav
4 Pokedex Handy 909
Total: 32

20 Water energy
Total: 20
TOTAL: 60

If your goal is really to maximize your chance of getting a t1 blastoise -ex, the above is about the best you can do. It'll allow you to have the option of starting with a fossil, which you can throw away if you have the great ball and use it to get a squirtle. You also have more flexibility in terms of mulliganing at the beginning. Fossils + great ball essentially means you have not 4, but 8 squirtle in your deck for the purposes of starting the game with one. Even more speed can be achieved by dropping 4 of the fossils for another non support draw card (like dual ball).

LOL. U SOOO got the idea!!!!! Finally... sheesh, and APT, stop tryin to sound all smart, the point of this is to WIN TURN 1. -_- lol Neways, you guys finally get it. I saw somebody suggest PokeNav, look at the list, it's already there... And again to APT, Handy 909 is so i can nav/TVR/(insert draw card) the stuff i need. sry for being rude but DUH... I haven't been in the best mood while I've been posting, and i appologize, but DUH. pay attention to what you're posting... And finally to Dendro, the tortle are incase i can't get a blasty out, or if there is a Safeguard Pokemon in play. This is the list I'm thinking about using.

Pokemon: 10
4 Squirtle
2 Wartortle
4 Blastoise ex

Trainers: 32
4 Claw Fossil
4 Rare Candy
4 Great Ball
4 TVR
4 Pokeball
4 Pokenav
4 Pokedex Handy 909
4 Dual Ball

Energy: 18
18 Water

because if theres a pokemon that can resist ex's like wob hes screwed without Wartortle unless he gets REALLY lucky with squirtle.

btw, i was just looking at ur first deck. Keep the energy search. They're a good way to thin your deck out and then u TV Reporter/Steven and you will get a higher (not much but slightly) higher chance of getting the cards u need.

Pokemon=10

X4 BLastoise ex
X2 Wartortle
X4 Squirtle

Trainers=32

X4 Pokeball
X4 Pokenav
X4 Energy Search (see above)
X4 Rare Candy
X4 TV Reporter
X4 Steven's Advice
X4 Great Ball
X4 Claw Fossil

Energies=18

X18 Water Energies

Edit: I think we're gonna need stadium's in there. I was just facing a Sceptile deck and it had low pressure system out. it was on 50 and had resistance to water. 1 put it on 100. it had 110hp. I had 1 prize left and he had 1. He draw his last prize after i attacked. :mad: -2 Great Ball +2 Island CAve
